To get .8032 you have to download the Pro Version and then there’s pop-ups when that trial version runs out and on one of them there’s a tick box to continue with Free version. Technology is the same and updated copyright date to 2024 but other than a few tiny changes below, it’s the same product
Release notes for 8032: 8032 Release notes
Version 8026 only changed the paid version name to Pro.
Comparing to previous release CIS 12.2.2.8026
Fixed
the welcome page should close after clicking the activate button
when cis is activated we should not show welcome dialog
cis will not display register user account when activation
Yes, it doesn’t always show up. I’m on a new PC so not tried it recently but it does eventually show when the trial runs out from what I remember. Not work the hassle.
Ah ok, it is the same as CIS Pro v12.2.4.8032 downgraded to premium when users click on that sometimes absent and hidden downgrade tick box after CIS Pro expire date.
I had the impression that your “XIS Premium 12.2.4.8032” was something totally different.
Most likely your previous CIS 12.2.2.8012 got updated to CIS 12.2.2.8026.
I’m not sure if CIS 12.2.2.8026 can be updated to CIS 12.2.4.8032 without uninstalling CIS 12.2.2.8026 first.
But you can always uninstall CIS 12.2.2.8026 and then install CIS 12.2.4.8032 if you wish.
Re Bonjour
I’m afraid that CIS Pro v12.2.3.8026 cannot be downloaded anymore, neither from this forum nor from official Comodo site.
However you can download the latest CIS Pro v12.2.4.8032 (cispro_installer.exe → offline installer) from here : https://www.comodo.com/home/internet-security/free-internet-security.php
Maybe you can install CIS Pro v12.2.4.8032 on top of CIS Premium v12.2.2.8012 but I’m not sure.
Best way is to always uninstall old version first before installing a new one.
Because 8032 has some additional “goodies” packed inside the installer like Geekbuddy (which is an additional 65Mb in the installer package) which 8012 doesn’t have.
Both 8032 and 8012 CIS setup component are almost file byte size identical.
So the “goodies” inside 8032 installer package increases file size.
