Yes that is correct, you won’t have to have a seperate Boclean.
and yes Memory Firewall will be integrated at some stage into CIS. The full Memory Firewall is a very sophisticated piece of code that unless we are 157% sure about its stability we won’t integrate, hence we are letting it run on beta for some time.

Sandboxing and Threatcast will not be in this version. It will be in the next versions scheduled towards end of this year (but you know how the timescales can slide :slight_smile: )

Please add a Log tab button too to group all View events, View active process, connections and so on.

During eveyday use is quite tedious to switch back and forth between Common and Advanced Tasks to finetune policies.

A blocked connection does not have to be an “intrusion”. And the counter also goes up for Blocked egress traffic…
Agree on the logging, make “19 connection attempts” a link to open the firewall log ?
make "1 threat(s) a link to open the av log ?
make room for defence+ ? :wink:

No way to know, but if it’s at all like CFP I suspect in the beginning there will need to be uninstall and then reinstall of beta versions. Once it becomes closer to stable then it may auto update.

Hi Star Shado, BOClean is not in CAVS 3 yet. Will not be in the final either. According to Melih’s response.

We are expecting both. :slight_smile: I’m not sure they will arrive on the very same day though. In either case it won’t be long until you’ll have CAV 3.

To be honest I’m not bothered whether BOClean is integral to CIS or CAVS3 or not, it works great standalone. Lets stop worrying about add ons / extras and just look forward to a great new AV being released.

2.If you haven’t already started molding BOclean\cavs3 together, it makes me think that it’s possible for overlapping signatures?

CAV3 has an amazingly fast and effective on access capability and lots of Unpackers. This gets CAV3 to catch a good chunk at file level rather than memory. Of course we should also have a detection put in at memory level, which is being done.

Ah. Thanks for the clear and quick answer. :slight_smile: I don’t mind running BOClean for a short time until they are merged.
