I’m back with Opera and using Opera 10 Beta (Build 1551) I tried Opera 10 Alpha back in November 2008 but a bit too buggy, so I switched back to Firefox and here I am with Opera again.
Love speed dial and opera turbo!!! and how you can still delete history and keep speed dial, awesome!
Cheers,
Josh
Why not 1589?
imagine, we could listen to each others music…
Do we actually want that ? Isn’t that P2P again, violating of the rights ? 88) (Not that I mind ;))

Good question. Afaik it’s not possible do download the files shared via the music player. Its like inviting someone to come over to listen to some music, just on the internet.
I have no clue in how far this qualifies as broadcasting, on the other hand it’s kind of “on demand”, means that you have to click an icon in order to play the song you want to hear.
Things look differently if you’d use the file sharing function, but the name says it all here.
Good that opera.exe (and opera.dll) is now digitally signed (1535 was the first signed build). :-TU
Welcome aboard Josh and enjoy the ride.
Cool thing about Opera is there are lots of handy if not downright nifty functions integrated by default. It’s like finding easter eggs over a longer period of time and getting surprised by this.
Hadn’t noticed this but you are darn right. (:NRD)
I’m curious about the ‘Turbo’ function…
How significant this ‘Turbo’ boost Opera’s performance?
Will this eliminate the strange ‘hiccup’ when Opera load a webpage with lots of external link/images?
Don’t get me started in rant mode… >:-D
I’ll appreciated every rant that can describe this feature at it’s best.
IF you’re on a fast connection, you won’t feel any difference.
If you’re on a slow connection, you will definitely feel it. It compresses the whole webpage, to a minimum, so you can browse 3x as fast (but you will get bad graphics on pics)

Can anyone find a download manager that works with Opera 10 beta?
Cheers,
Josh
oGet should still work.
Free Download Manager seems to work quite well.
Updating to build 1589 gave me an Opera icon in the system tray.

How can I disable it? :-\
Thanks.
I wonder the same. It’s completely unnecessary I think. Searched for ‘tray’ in opera:config, no result though.
If you launch Opera from a shortcut you have to add “-notrayicon”. I launch Opera from my dock so I adjusted it accordingly
