No CIS Free Webpage? [MERGED THREAD]

OK,but comodo is a company, which offers many products, not just CIS.

It’s really hard to find.

Especially for beginners.
We know where it is and how to download but beginners don’t know.
Most of beginners who visit comodo.com first are looking for FREE version of CIS.
But the new homepage shows them only CIS Pro(paid version).
These beginners don’t think FREE version is ‘Comodo Firewall’ instead of Comodo Internet Security.
They are looking for the name of CIS, not FP.
Because many websites say ‘CIS is free’, not ‘Comodo Firewall is free’.
This is comodo’s big mistake.

Wrong: Web Design and expression.

OK.You convinced me. :-TU Good expression of the situation.

Wrong conclusion. >:-D

It takes a master degree in commercial communication to make these kind of web sites. Really. It is not for the uninitiated to even remotely understand the deeper meaning of such design. They are very focused on making you buy the paid version of course… :a0 ;D

That much is obvious, which I really can’t blame them. Making money is always a nice thing…

However, they also parade around the fact that they make this internet security suite which is free and will be free forever. If they continue to want to push the paid version, they need to stop flaunting the free version. Otherwise as has already been seen, people will come looking for the free version only to find no mention of the free version unless they go on some very unintuitive spelunking on the website. This only builds confusion and does the exact opposite of “Creating Trust Online”.

I wonder why nobody from Comodo replies.

;D ;D ;D ;D
I know the tactics, but we can’t talk about here. ;D ;D ;D
But the problem is beginners always compalin about it…that’s the problem…
So, let’s watch COMODO’s acts. ;D

OK, let’s put it another way. A beginner heard about Comodo firewall. He fire up Google and type Comodo firewall and first two result are those:

Hard?

I mean a “little” problem.

Why so serious ?

Very well put Burebista. I doubt very many beginners start out with Comodo from this website but come here for advice after installing Comodo products from other PC forum links. However three clicks from the main page here and the free download of CIS 531 is on the left side of the screen. Unless someone wants a mod to come and download it for them, what could be easier than that. Probably has to do with Comodos rising popularity and other product owners getting edgy but there seem to me to be an awful lot of trolls here lately?.

They wont type Firewall.

They will type Comodo.

Anyway, the Gods have recognised the problem.

Ok I type just Comodo, because I don’t know what I’m looking for, by name

Step 1. Type Comodo into google
Step 2. Select Products, because I’m not sure
Step 3. Select Desktop products
Step 4. Select Firewall
Step 5. Download…

I sorry, but I really don’t understand where the problem is. It’s also the same any other way. The download link to the free product is Green and the link for the paid version is Red. The Green link leading to the download is right in the middle of the page. it even says Free on the tab in my browser.

uuf…

Quill,
some of you will take wishfull thinking to ridiculous extremes.

I only hope Melih has taken notice and redesigns the site.

Problem? I don’t see a problem.
If you want to buy CIS there is a link for you.
If you’re looking for a free version of CIS there’s a download link.

There isn’t any problem…Apparently people that can tear apart a software program bit by bit and byte by byte are reading impaired…Get a grip! Lol

I concur.

Clearly this is much ado about nothing.

What do you mean ?
You did not post anything in this thread !

Concur: b: to express agreement

I agreed with you that there is no problem to be seen.

You have noticed English is not my native language.
That is not the point !
