New Version 12.3.4.8162 Available for Comodo Internet Security 2025

I also had the same problem. I am using only the Firewall and unchecking the mentioned option made the program unusable.

I’ve tested it at my end Win 11 24H2 build 26100.2605 - CIS Version 12.3.4.8162.

CIS runs but any attempt to open UI does nothing, right clicking icon or double clicking tray icon does nothing. Trying to run any program made by CIS e.g. the uninstaller or other installation package throws up a permission message. I have got it to show a popup to repair CIS but it does nothing. Below is the permissions message you get.

The only way to remove CIS to remove CIS is via the Uninstaller in Windows Safe Mode.

P.S. You still have leftover CIS/CF drivers in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository folder and the installer startup entry after removing CIS even with the uninstaller tool no matter which version and I find only version 3.1.0.45 to actually remove anything but I’ve not had time to test it further.

And guys…

How long has it been since I reported this problem? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Conclusion 1: Comodo releases new versions that not only don’t fix the bugs, they add new ones!

Conclusion 2: Comodo doesn’t care about fixing new bugs, and doesn’t give any concrete answers on the subject.

Conclusion 3 : When things get intractable, there’s always a moment when someone from Comodo comes along and says “this problem doesn’t exist and I haven’t managed to reproduce it”, even though there are dozens of us suffering from it!

But who runs this company?

Maybe it’s worth switching to Xcitium… But I’m going to think 3 times, because it’s the same people who work there!

The best thing would be to drop Comodo and close this company to take care of Xcitium 100%…

ALL TO XCITIUM!

All out for Xcitium!

Xcitium cares more about their business products because they originally started first with their EDR and Client Security Endpoint Protection they care more about their business products but care less about their free products

Because you know why they care less?
Its because they get 0 dollars on their free products but on their businnes they get Millions of dollars

@Overclocker-001 I suggest you to switch to Xcitium Xcitium gets regullary updates and bug fixes and improvements

Thanks for the advice

In this case, I think we can advise everyone to switch to Xcitium.

Because, why provide a sub-product to free customers. It is not worthy of a major IT company!

Hi everyone, I just did a reputation check and see what came up.

I saw this last year and it ended up saying the certificate was revoked!

Is anyone else experiencing this?

It’s very strange that this is appearing to me.

Why can’t I send these files to COMODO?

It keeps reporting this error, is it a problem with the server?

The error says “FAILURE(0x80072f8f) - Content decoding failed”

Not seeing this issue at my end. CFW

From time to time, I do the reputation check. Sometimes it appears, and other times it doesn’t.

I don’t know what’s going on.

I’ll always check to see if it appears again.

If anyone else is experiencing the same thing, please post your problem here so we can discuss it.

Thank you! :slightly_smiling_face:

This problem has already been reported several times…

Don’t forget that there are paying users of Comodo CIS, and they’re treated just as badly as free users.
