liosant, I’ll do this here to prove my point to you and everybody else, but I’ll say this before: any further discussion should be PM or in the specific language thread. Let’s not hog the thread unnecessarily.
Examples of first error: excessive spacing. There is an unnecessary space before most end quotes.
<string id="101" value="Sumário "/>
<string id="102" value="CPU "/>
<string id="103" value="Reputação "/>
Also, as you can see above, "/> is used instead of " /> with a space, which is the default formatting.
Examples of more spacing problems:
<control id="1136" style="1342177287" position="7, 7, 112, 68" caption="Taxa Comprometida(K)" class="BUTTON" styleex="32 "/>
<control id="1135" style="1342177287" position="7, 77, 112, 71" caption="Memória Física(K)" class="BUTTON" styleex="32 "/>
“Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx(K)” should be “Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx (K)” with a space before “(K)”.
In the above example we have also an example of bad translation. “Taxa Comprometida” should be “Carga Comprometida”.
Finally I’ll give an example of terrible Portuguese, both in spelling and grammar:
<control position="7, 7, 211, 18" caption="A afinidade do processador defini controles que o processo de CPUs serão autorizados a executar em."/>
“defini” is not correct here. “executar em” at the end of a sentence is not a valid Portuguese grammar structure, it is an English structure (execute on). Below is my version:
<control position="7, 7, 211, 18" caption="As configurações de Afinidade de Processador controlam em quais CPUs o processo terá permissão para executar." />
There are many other examples I could point out, but I’d rather spend my time on actually getting some work done.
To finish I’d like to say again that I do appreciate your contribution, but it is only valid if it is an actual contribution, not a competition. You have attempted to contribute with a work that was already being done by me. If you want to contribute, you need to coordinate your efforts with me and the other Brazilian contributors.
