[at]silvercrown

use following menu.lst entries to make it work

First : Copy the entire contents of the cd to a folder on your USB flash drive
example : K:\iso\Comodo\

menu.lst:
title Comodo Rescue Disk 1.1.232326.14
kernel /iso/comodo/boot/bzimage
initrd /iso/comodo/boot/rootfs.gz

Cheers Itow

Sorry but I am not understanding what exactly you are recommending me to do !

Only thing I understand is create a folder ISO / COmodo in the root of USB

Now as far as unzipping ISO files which ones ? and should i use winzip ?

Read this :021 – Guide to Grub4Dos - RMPrepUSB

Install grub4dos to the instructions under “part1”

When you’re done you have 2 files to your usb stick:

grldr
menu.lst

open menu.lst with notepad if you do not have the file you create with notepad and add the following line

title Comodo Rescue Disk 1.1.232326.14
kernel /comodo/boot/bzimage
initrd /comodo/boot/rootfs.gz

save and close notepad

Create on the usb stick the folder “comodo”

Now it should look like:
grldr (file)
menu.lst (file)
comodo (folder)

open the comodo iso you downloaded with winrar, winzip or similar

now you see
boot (folder)
index.htm (file)
md5sum. (file)
readme (file)
style.css (file)

copy everything on your USB stick into the comodo folder

Now you’re ready to restart your pc and boot from your USB flash drive

Have Fun ;D

sorry for my bad english

I am using the RMPREP USB v2.1.648

after format *( Preparing the drive ) FAT 32 Boot as FDD
FREEDOS bootable KERNEL.SYS
unchecked set partition as non-bootable
unchecked no user prompts
partition size max
volume label multiboot
copy os files after fomat CHECKED

after format i click on INSTALL GRUB4DOS and keep getting ERROR

Grubinst command failed - please place grubinst.exe in RMPrepUSB folder ???

???

hm okey …

download the file in this post

format your usb drive (fat32) use Windows (rightclick)

extract the file and run usb_instal

Create on the usb stick the folder “comodo”

Now it should look like:
grldr (file)
menu.lst (file)
comodo (folder)

open the comodo iso you downloaded with winrar, winzip or similar

now you see
boot (folder)
index.htm (file)
md5sum. (file)
readme (file)
style.css (file)

copy everything on your USB stick into the comodo folder

Now you’re ready to restart your pc and boot from your USB flash drive

right click … format

ok 1/2 way there !

i don’t see no comodo folder am i to create one ? ???

yes creat it

ok created and exstracted ISO to comodo file !

Testing NOW !

Didn’t work :-[

it goes all the way until :

rivafb_setup START

nvidiafb : Device ID : 10de1040

(with flashing cursor )

???

I suspect that he does not like your graphics card …

Please test it on other systems because the USB-stick seems to be working

this is my only test system :frowning:

my graphic card is : GeForce GT520 PCI Express

try it with RmPrepUSB

hint “F11”

In the first window hint “1” then okey
second window hint “1024” then okey

Black window will appear

Start comodo (the emulator is very slow -.- but good for testing )

ok EULA POPPED UP !!!

so why the change !? ???

now after EULA is accepted :

i get a Welcome to your box.
SliTaz boot time 156s
root@slitaz : ~#

???

This means your USB flash drive is ok…

the error is normal when you start comodo an emulator

solution: Wait for new version T.T sry

or try this av: Help protect my PC with Microsoft Defender Offline - Microsoft Support

to run with usb :

edit menu.lst

delete comodo entries

paste that:

Windows Defender Offline 32-Bit
find --set-root /WDO32.iso
map /WDO32.iso (hd32)
map --hook
chainloader (hd32)

title
root

Windows Defender Offline 64-Bit
find --set-root /WDO64.iso
map /WDO64.iso (hd32)
map --hook
chainloader (hd32)

delete the comodo folder

rename the 64bit version to WDO64.iso and the 32bit version to WDO32.iso

copy the iso files in the root of your usb drive

have fun
