COMODO Rescue Disk 1.1.232326.14 is released!

I think other vendors’ rescue disks also can’t update database with wireless connection.
Please, correct me if I’m wrong.

most of the bootable rescue disks i have used require a direct connection in order to update

Hello,
sorry, but it’s the same problem with the new Version.

https://forums.comodo.com/beta-corner-cce/comodo-rescue-disk-102278888-beta-bug-reports-t82701.0.html;msg592104#msg592104

Can CAMAS be integrated into the rescue disk?

I want to try CRD to see how it is. Can I try it safely on production system?

should be ok.

As long as you chose Ignore on all questions asked it should do nothing but detect.

Hello

I like CRD with all the features. Maybe a registry editing tool can be added ?

I was testing CRD against the police infection, and I’ve noticed something that may be a bug.

CCE detects the nasty part in the data :
[HKLM\software\microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
“userinit”=“C:\Windows\system32\userinit.exe, c:\path_to_the_nasty_file

Then CCE removes the nasty part, but the result is incorrect :
[HKLM\software\microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
“userinit”=“SZ.C:\Windows\system32\userinit.exe,”
The nasty part is removed, but the data is wrong, so the user can’t access the desktop.

Here is a screenshot of what I see using OTLPE : http://i45.servimg.com/u/f45/11/85/66/44/screen12.jpg
Is it a bug ?

Offline registry editor would definitively be a major addition to Rescued disk.

Suggestions i have:
Make small app, which will auto-download whole Comodo Rescue Disk from web and prepare CD/DVD or USB drive (reformat it) and make bootable CD/DVD/USB. Also it should be able to update such prepared bootable rescue system. Microsoft has similar app - Windows Defender Offline.

And general suggestion: add to Comodo systems module for firmware scanning - BIOS and other hardware firmware. “Firmware rootkits” is the topic present for many years. Still, many AV vendors can’t defend against them.

Hi everyone

First sorry for my poor english -.-

I have add the rescue disk to my multi-boot-stick

On my system it dosent find my hdd it find only the usb drive -.- (with raid)

other system i have tested it work perfectly (without raid)

Maybe does not support any raid drives ?

for multi-boot-stick i have use grub4dos …

Thanks :-*

Hello and Good Day !

I am contacting you to see if you could assist me on creating a USB ISO image of CRD .

I tried with CD and USB both and both times apon booting up process with GRUB in Lynix it locks up with GREEN SCREEN

shows something about IRQ or ACPI something about trying a different configuration.

any advice would be greatly appreciated and thanks !

oh forgot to mention i tried using both CD, SARDU, UNETBOOTIN

I am also using WIndows 7 x64Bit system

I give up ! !!!

I really can’t figure out how to boot it up on my system.

Windows 7 x64bit SP1

Tried both CD / USB

Tried with Unetbootin / SARDU / XBOOT / YUMI

the issue / problem i am having is :

apon booting up PREWINDOW it goes to a menu

COMODO REscue Disk 1.1.232326.14

giving 2 options :

1 ~ GRAPHIC

2 ~ TEXT

either one picked i keep getting a LOCKUP with a GREEN SCREEN FREEZE

last command line shown to lock up is :

PCI : Using ACPI for IRQ routing

anyone have a clue ? ???

is there a site or page i could just d/l the makeshift ISO ?

Crown

Hi Silvercrown,
Please do not double post as it is against the Forum Policy 8.4, thanks.
Double post found here.

sorry just alittle frustrated over here

???

Dr Web has a rescue disc for both CD & USB. For USB you dont have to do anything, just download, run, select USB & create rescue disc on USB. Its so simple…Why dont you guyz make rescue disc for USB like this, simple?

Frustrated understandable, apology accepted.
Just remember this is a general user forum, if anyone knows the answers or can help they will.
Thanks.
