Released by location I believe . . .
Well CIS works well with Windows Defender firewall. It doesn’t disable it upon installation as per Microsoft recommendations guideline. They work fine together and Comodo certainly must have made sure of it. Although unless for specific reasons like blocking whole country IPs via PowerShell script imported CIDR rules en masse then it wont really add anything important. Two 3rd party firewalls wont play well though…
Malwarebytes can run along side of CIS but ZA has had conflict issues in the past. Windows Firewall stays enabled by default but doesn’t conflict. You don’t need ZA if you have CIS.

Ok Eric;
deinstalled Zonealarm; Cleaned remainings of CIS and reinstalled after reboot.Next reboot CIS shows up makes the quick search waited till it ended and rebooted again … NO CIS trayin taskbar nor started it after doubleclicking /or rightclick as admin…
But I have a new error message (from another program thats shows up after install CIS/reboot)
MSIODx64_Host not valid
MSIODx86_Host not valid
Could it be that CIS needs to config the hostfile located in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc?
Because some of my programs denies access to it.
I try to get CIS run since the new update 26.06 … frustration level reached to the maximum
I think v11 is broken. I installed it from online installer, but after installation finished successfully and restarted Comodo didn’t start. I installed v10 again and tried updating from the Comodo. After update finished and restart, Comodo still v10 and now there is no updates available!. I also tried the offline premium installer. There is something wrong with this version and it is strange that no one mention this yet. I have Windows 10 version 1803 fully updated.
Please uninstall CIS using the Official uninstaller then install it again. Does that help?
At Frustrated User. Your setup is technically speaking a potential unstable situation. That it has been stable for quite a while means you have been lucky. Please don’t get your hopes up too high you problem may get solved. Although one never knows of course.
As a rule of thumb we advice not to use two security measures of the same kind at the same time but use a layerde approach of different security measures.
So don’t use two network firewalls, don’t use signature based solutions, don’t use two HIPS, don’t use two sandboxes etc at the same time. Instead go for a layered approach which has less chances of getting unstable. That’s why I use CIS only for resident protection and will scan (bi)weekly with on demand scanners as an extra. It protects me well.
If you have other programs blocking that then that’s likely the issue. I’d uninstall CIS again and run the uninstaller cleanup tool before installing again. CIS can protect all these areas. What other programs are you running? EricJH is right, the layered approach with CIS is best.

I deinstalled it with comodo uninstaller clean up tool and after it I cleaned the remainings(which was found by my uninstalltools) I made a screenshot of my Security-programs… can´t remember which all of them protect the Hostfile I will check the settings tomorrow and try it again…
Now after 3 reboots CIS started, after I right click it and run it as admin…but no autostart ![]()
PS: are there some more Erics? Just Kidding ![]()
WTF?!?
Your computer is a mess! Please just reinstall Windows.

Hi Zorkas,
Please check your private message(PM).

Hello PremJK,
Private message back
cordially
I expect your SYShardener is interfering with the installation or it could be Spybot related. Are you running Avira along with CIS as real-time protection? I’m not sure of a solution unless you check for blocks in all of those programs and allow permissions in those for CIS to install.
Eric
It’s Thursday and I still don’t have the update. I don’t even think that Thursday constitutes as “early next week” anymore.
Hi Zee64,
Shortly we will be announcing hot-fix beta, that addresses some of the regression issues mentioned in this post.
We will be releasing updates after hot-fix production release considering the severity of issues.
Thanks

Got the same error message regarding authroot.stl.7z and additionally whitelist.json.7z. Seems to be produced everytime CIS does update check.
Error HTTP read from download.comodo.com/cis/download/installs/stl/authroot.stl.7z, httpCode: 404 Error Code: 0x80070002
Error HTTP read from download.comodo.com/cis/download/installs/stl/whitelist.json.7z, httpCode: 404 Error Code: 0x80070002
Thanks, we will check.
Seems we have counter part non zip versions online, when do you see the error?
Please share snap.
The error occurs every 2 hours as per when CIS checks for definitions (I have it set to check every 2 hours). The same happens with latest CIS in a VM with a clean from Microsoft Windows 10 version 17134 install. I have no signs of blocked traffic in the firewall log nor error message in the updater in progress display window. Comodo Updater Applications rule is default with (Outbound Only) preset.
