Note: At this point we have made this release only for new installations and comodo.com is updated with latest setups. In case you want to update from older version, you can use test server IP as shown in enclosed HostSettings_for_Update.png and run updater from main interface. We will be releasing updates to older versions early next week.

This is mainly a bug fix release and here is the change list:
New:
1.
This is version 11. Considering many stability and performance changes have gone into application since release of v10 and product overall test results have improved, we have classified it as v11. While we continue to work on major changes for v12 for 2019 release.

Going forward, you won’t see any GeekBuddy alert upon malware detection.

This build is HVCI compliant, this is a feature which is going to be enabled by default in Windows 10 RS5, due in Fall-2018.

When updates to older versions released, updates will be done in two steps, after you have updated, you will see another alert for 2nd update. Any update further on top of this won’t require two updates. We have to go through this one time for technical reasons to be ready for next hot-fix release, which will be fully RS5 compliant.

Fixes:
5.
Fixed BSOD as reported here.

Incompatibility with ‘Sea of Thieves’, ‘State of Decay 2’, ‘Forza Horizon 3’ and ‘Age of Empires’ games.

A public bug 2355 was raised by moderators, where HIPS does not alert for actions when previously trusted rated application is changed to unrecognized

Firefox issue in Sandbox as reported here.

It has several crash fixes as well, as we found via crash reporting feature.

It has updated Comodo Dragon v66, Comodo Secure Shopping(CSS) v142 and Internet Security Essentials(ISE) v152, both CSS and ISE have update related changes, where during update setup could take high CPU.

Please give it a try and share your valuable feedback.

Thanks

Thanks Umesh and team. Much appreciated for all the hard work! :-TU

When will be the update for v10 users released?

As per notes above:

Note: At this point we have made this release only for new installations and comodo.com is updated with latest setups. In case you want to update from older version, you can use test server IP as shown in enclosed HostSettings_for_Update.png and run updater from main interface. We will be releasing updates to older versions early next week.

Fresh install went well at my end. ISE still doesn’t install, had to do manual download. It’s worth saying that CSE with CCAV installation is always successful. Anyway, did a manual install of that and all working fine without issues.

:rocks:

Eric

Website Filtering is still NOT Working !

after pc reboot, in website filter the custom add sites are BLANK(s) !

Congrats with the release. Always good to see several crashes getting fixed that came in through the crash reporting function of CIS. :-TU

What’s the size of file you added as custom list?

9.91 MB (10,397,210 bytes)

What’s the limit size ?!

Lets us check and get back, but yes we have a limit.

Many Thanks umesh and to All Comoro Team for this extraordinary software !

PS. Could be possible to add to website filtering blocks against sites like sodoma & Gomorrah mind and soul depravation, fake news, ads…
And the limit size has to do with sys ram or total ram in use by CiS ?!

thank you very much for version 11 I thank you with all my heart

Running smoothly at this end. It occurred to me that my CSE install issue is because I have two accounts on the same PC and I’ve not logged into the other and removed any comodo remnants before fresh install. Testing that out tonight.

Eric

Hi Eric,
If you had ISE installed in the past and uninstalled, it won’t be installed again by CIS, we have following change planned for that:

  • In such cases, keep ISE option de-selected and if you select, it will install.

Thanks

Thanks Umesh,

For info: Manual install of ISE installs version v1.3.438464.135 with no updates available.

Eric

We will be updating website version later today and updates will be released together with CIS.

Congrats Comodo team on the new release! We all really appreciate your hard work.

I look forward to next week for an automatic update to version 11.

In your %username% temp folder you can find the latest ISE even if it’s not installed by main installer.

Thanks, I’ll check that folder though I usually do a cleanup of temp files after uninstalling.

Eric

FYIP,

is updated with latest ISE setup now.
