This is mainly a bug fix release and here is the change list:
New:
1.
This is version 11. Considering many stability and performance changes have gone into application since release of v10 and product overall test results have improved, we have classified it as v11. While we continue to work on major changes for v12 for 2019 release.

Going forward, you won’t see any GeekBuddy alert upon malware detection.

You should find drivers HVCI compliant as questioned here.

This release aims to be Windows RS5 compliant, which is due in Fall-2018. It has a change needed by RS5, when you update from older versions, after you have updated, you will see another alert for 2nd update. So two pass update. Any update further on top of this won’t require two updates. We have to go through this one time for technical reasons.

Fixes:
5.
Fixed BSOD as reported here.

Incompatibility with ‘Sea of Thieves’ game as reported here.

A public bug 2355 was raised by moderators, where HIPS does not alert for actions when previously trusted rated application is changed to unrecognized

Firefox issue in Sandbox as reported here.

It has several crash fixes as well, as we found via crash reporting feature.

It has updated Secure Shopping v142 and Internet Security Essentials v146, both have update related changes and during update could take high CPU.

Please give it a try and share your valuable feedback.

Thanks

I updated once, restarted. I searched for another update, found, downloaded and installed, restarted again. Everything working fine, if there is a problem I’ll let you know. :-TU

Umesh, related to this (https://forums.comodo.com/news-announcements-feedback-cis/comodo-internet-security-v10206526-hotfix-released-t121725.0.html;msg876246#msg876246). Did you find something abnormal or is this the correct way to work?

Thanks! Good job all! :-TU

Yet to conclude on it, will get back.

Trying this out in a VM, the first one just the firewall said no internet connection when trying to install, the offline one, is ummm for some reason taking 5 hours to download.

Hi Umesh,

Thanks to the team for the beta release. I have updated via online method and after reboot, I see 7600 unrecognized files. Earlier it was zero. Is this normal?

Edit: Program updated itself again, rebooted and same number of unrecognized files. Version number remains the same.

Updated and running well . . . no problems

Possible to share around 5 unknown files?

Umesh,

Please see attached screenshot. Mostly all windows files. If a lookup any of the files, it comes back with status trusted and with message “will be removed from the list” but that doesnot happen.

Ratings scan also is a bit dodgy. Attached as well.

I have responded in related thread, please check if you can still produce it.

File Rating does not detect .bat files.
System:
Windows 7 Enterprise

Regards

May you please pass the file ?

All .bat files.

Regards

I executed a batch file and can see in in file rating section. Please see enclosed.
May you please define what you tried and what you expected?

Make sure you have all types to show in file list, also make sure heuristic command-line analysis is enabled for cmd.exe and finally make sure you don’t run the .bat file from the command-line, double-click on it instead.

This is a neverending story.
Forget it!

Regards

If I recall you also have another AV software installed and it most likely is interfering with comodo. How are you running the .bat files? Do you double-click on them or are you running them from the command prompt?

Solved.

Thanks!

Regards

Thank you for the release. Nice to see continued stability fixes received via crash reporting feature.

I have installed this build on Win 10 Insider 17666. Windows is downloading and preparing for the update to 17672. Are there specific things you want me to look out for once I am on 17672?

Any regression you can find, nothing specific as such.
