An oldie but a goodie, the possibility to create custom rules from alerts and logs. Details from the specific alert or log entry would be used as the basis for the rule with source and destination, protocol, ports prefilled from the alert and log. Was already in the wish list for v4.

Would change in the system tray icon, for me it is not clear.
Could use a color change in the system tray icon when the system is threatened, as is the case in the main panel CIS O0

Hi Guys. Look at the offer on change GUI while CIS 5 is at a testing stage, I have dared to make this offer. In my opinion so all ruler of products will look it identical, instead of is similar (it as the brand) - appearance much means too, and not just a stuffing (it will be possible to develop integration of different products in each other and it will look it excellent, a reserve for the future). Now GUI too it is good, it is the big step in comparison with CIS 4.1, but agree with such appearance it it becomes even better - I think to you the same it is pleasant. It is level Avast, in my opinion and other competitors, now unfortunately, it besides only my opinion, anybody dont to offend - CIS 5 as not faceted diamond and if changes will be accepted - becomes briliant.

Look at picture - befor and after. I tried to make smooth transition of colors on buttons, but can`t, there is no good graphic editor - excuse.

PS: excuse for the low permission - made of different pieces and for not so good graphic execution - 3 hours learnt to draw and I tried.

that is not a good idea. and the link to “hide sandboxed notification” can cause that somebody clicking it by mistake will not even know why some applications do not work (they will be sandboxed in the background without notification).

there should not be possibility to permanently disable sandbox notifications on the notification itself! the option should be available in advanced configuration only.

:-La please add one usefull option to the sandbox notification: “don’t sandbox” (at the time new unrecognized application is discovered) !!! the actual topic describing the functionality is available in the general wishlist:

One wish here.
Status ‘‘temporary trusted’’.If i want to uninstall some application and CIS puts it’s uninstall.exe in the SB, the only way to uninstall it, is to put this file to the trusted files.Yes, but, if i don’t want to put it there forever, it will be much more easier.

In “Computer Security Policy” the ability to sort, search or filter on the executable name only (e.g. myprogram.exe) would be most desirable.

ZoneAlarm has had this feature since day zero. It is most frustrating if you want to add or modify the “treat as” and the program is already there and/but you couldn’t find it scrolling through the list.

If automatically quarantine threats is selected in Realtime Scanning there is no notification when the threats are automatically quarantined. there should be a notification so that the user gets to know that threats found and quarantined.

In Antivirus Alert plzz rename Clean to Delete as the word is confusing and put it in the drop down menu and instead make the quarantine button visible. Majority of users i.e Average Users quarantine the threats.
Why Disinfect is there when it too deletes the things.

In Network Security Policy and Computer Security Policy there should be a way to hide the Defaults so that the Average Users dont mess with the Defaults.

Suggestion fo My Own Safe Files

Over time I have a number of files under My Own Safe Files. These are listed in the order they were added. For ease of use I would like connected applications to be grouped together. Is there an easy way to do this?? - ie change the order in which the files are listed under My Own Safe Files??
Even an alphabetic listing would be better.

I do not want to use folders as this seems to me to be inherently secure. If a rogue program added an application in a “Safe” folder then the rogue application would become “Safe” - am I missing something??

Same suggestion for Trusted Applications under Firewall - Network Security Policy and under Defense+ - Computer Security Policy.

You can actually enable the notification. Go to more > General > check the “show balloon messages”. Whenever CIS auto quarantine virus it will pop a small notification just above system tray. But when you enable this, it also show notification whenever CIS download and install update. This can be annoying because it will show like every 10 minutes.

Oh by the way, the setting i mention above is for CIS4. In CIS5, go to More > Preferences > check the “show balloon messages”. I don’t know if it work the same way as before because I haven’t come across any malware yet using CIS5.

i would like to see some kind of dialog or option of some sort that can easily allow the easier to retrieve downloads if the browser is sandboxed. i have been testing ie and opera sandboxed as partially limited and my only complaint is when i download something i have to go through many folders to retrieve my download

It is already included in My Computer and CRiticl Areas too. Syware Scan is just an additonal item for onyl spyware scanning.

Currently “My Computer” & “Critical Areas” seem to take about the same amount of time, so I am not sure what the difference is. Spyware scan should be part of the others. I can’t think of any reason why I would want to scan for viruses and spyware separately.
