COMODO Internet Security 5 BETA Wishlist

but that one was already wished  please see the few posts above, and the one below:

https://forums.comodo.com/wishlist-cis/sandbox-option-to-prevent-sandboxing-t60157.0.html;msg422216#msg422216

the option “don’t sandbox” - “ONCE” / “ALWAYS” (or ‘trust this software’ once / always) covers it all.

ONCE - would allow software once, without storing to the safe / not-safe list (like it has not happened at all) and without the need of restarting the software after adding to safe-list (like one has to do now)

ALWAYS - would add the app to the safe-list and start it as trusted at the moment of acceptance.

Heh, I know this “ignore once” manner of CIS.It usually asks about 100 times for this ‘‘once’’.It must be something different this time.

In “Computer Security Policy” the ability to sort, search or filter on the executable name only (e.g. myprogram.exe) would be most desirable.

ZoneAlarm has had this feature since day zero. It is most frustrating if you want to add or modify the “treat as” and the program is already there and/but you couldn’t find it scrolling through the list.

But why limit this to the Premium Version?

If automatically quarantine threats is selected in Realtime Scanning there is no notification when the threats are automatically quarantined. there should be a notification so that the user gets to know that threats found and quarantined.

In Antivirus Alert plzz rename Clean to Delete as the word is confusing and put it in the drop down menu and instead make the quarantine button visible. Majority of users i.e Average Users quarantine the threats.
Why Disinfect is there when it too deletes the things.

In Network Security Policy and Computer Security Policy there should be a way to hide the Defaults so that the Average Users dont mess with the Defaults.

Suggestion fo My Own Safe Files

Over time I have a number of files under My Own Safe Files. These are listed in the order they were added. For ease of use I would like connected applications to be grouped together. Is there an easy way to do this?? - ie change the order in which the files are listed under My Own Safe Files??
Even an alphabetic listing would be better.

I do not want to use folders as this seems to me to be inherently secure. If a rogue program added an application in a “Safe” folder then the rogue application would become “Safe” - am I missing something??

Same suggestion for Trusted Applications under Firewall - Network Security Policy and under Defense+ - Computer Security Policy.

buttons to maximize/minimize all windows of the comodo GUI.

Cis does not allow sandboxie to work.

Can you fix this when version 5 comes out?
They used to work perfectley together.

I used to use sandboxie to he lp protect novice computer users.

I have a suggestion. Anti-virus alert windows should be bigger, because sometimes it happens that you can not read the full informations … Informations are partial (Sometimes)

This is something that has erked me since V3. When viewing the Defense+ events it does not clearly state what was blocked. For example: mbam.exe > create process > notepad.exe. There is no way to determine if THAT action was blocked or allowed.

A search bar would be nice when looking at the policy for either Firewall or Defense+. As there is no way to sort, it makes finding an application a bit of a hassle. Would be nice if the policy for each application was not expanded by default too.

If you hover your mouse cursor over the location, you will get the complete path. They just have to enable wrapping of the path text. This will allow the full path to be shown in the window. This has been brought up before. I don’t know why it hasn’t been addressed yet. Another solution would be enabling you to copy the path to the clipboard.

Many other programs I have used do this same thing. Since hovering a mouse over the path will show the complete path, I see no bug in this format.

Have you tried the More… button on any CIS event screen or run the program cfplogvw.exe (default location: C:\Program Files\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security)? CIS’s Log Viewer shows Alerts Displayed and what the result was, plus the related event.

Yes, the action taken can be viewed there, but it just seems more logical to me to have it on the main screen (before pressing “More”).

Hovering is OK, but it disappears after a few seconds. If the path is long, you have to re-hover a few times to get it entirely. Wrapping the text should be a pretty easy solution.

I see your point, L.A.R.
Wrap would be a definite solution.

Like you said, though, it’s still not a bug (maybe a little nuisance).

I put this exact something in the wishlist. I’m glad somebody agrees with me.
