I like it…Very nice work Comodo.
Looking at your results I can tell you that TuneUp Utilities is certainly a FP and the other results look like FPs to me too.You should submit any files you’re unsure of before deleting anything.
I had this issue too. Sometimes I would get a Window and others not plus I never really knew how to answer. Should I choose “close this window” or have my PC “accessible”? I’m a single home PC user with no local network but I do connect using a SonyEricsson MD300 USB broadband modem which I know has confused some other firewalls in the past. Any ideas welcome!
Congrats to “The Boss” and everyone else for seeing this through amongst the flak. If 3.9 now stays stable there will be a few people in other companies indulging in a bit of corporate head scratching! Never mind guys, not only do we do it better, we also do it for FREE!
Still getting the total system lockup problem when allowing Xfire through the firewall. Have to do a hard reset and even then I still get the popup for that program.
This bug was present in RC2 as well.
I’m also not getting any ThreatCast ratings either.
OS: Windows 7 RC x86 (build 7100)
This version is fantastic.
Work great.
Thank’s thank’s thank’s

I have just installed Firewall Defense+
On Widows XP home S3.
I found the answer to my problem here. Works like a charm! It returned “COMODO Antivirus” to all of my context menus!
Thanks, Ronny! :-TU
I did not see this post until after I posted a similar issue here.
I know you posted a “work around” here, but I think my clean install of 3.9 should not require a work around to get the right-click menu to work. Furthermore, the “work around” did not work for me.
When I right-click a folder, I see “COMODO Antivirus” which starts a virus scan of the folder when it is clicked on.

Many thanks to Egemen and all the devs for a great product. Take a well-deserved break and enjoy the results of your labors. I have done a clean install on 2 Vista Ultimate desktops and 1 XP Home laptop. Everything is looking great so far. All DBs are at 1160 and I haven’t seen any of the few issues that have been mentioned in the Forum posts so far.

I agree, but the “work around” was the only way I could get the link in the context menu back. I hope the devs fix this “bug” in future releases. Many others aren’t having this problem.
After updating from 3.8 to 3.9 through the Updater, not only is the AV updates disabled due to the bug, there is also no one-click Allow/Block. I uninstalled that and did a clean install of 3.9, and I now have my one-click Allow/Block and the latest DB update (1160).
Thank you for this release and your hard work everyone
I used the Beta for a lil bit, now I am installing the finished version. Hopefully it will let run a full virus scan where the last version and the Beta didnt.
what about threatcast?? no one is replying for the threatcast posts. clean install and not getting threatcast. not even getting threatcast tab in the alerts.

Unfortunately a LOT of FPs even with heuristics medium. Will submit the files later.
to get the threatcast and threatcast tab is it required to be connected to the net during CIS installation.
Can you please be more specific about this? Thanks.
thanks a lot for the great update :-TU
