I have replaced the RC2s on both my XP and Vista with clean installs and not imported anything. My simple rules are easy to replace and few popups anyway with proactive now.
I was a little nervous about updating the av for the Vista whilst waiting for the whole 34.7 mb to install, but need not have worried, as 1160 is up on both.

First of all, thank you for this great release. After installation I got only 2 pop-ups and Threatcast rating, too 
The bugs I wrote for RC 1 and 2 are now fixed, but I have two questions:
After installation CIS (installed without antivirus) asked for reboot. OK. But my computer did not shut down (just immediately after installation, otherwise normally) and I have to push to power button for several seconds. This happens to me just with CIS 3.9 (with CIS 3.8 it is shutting down normally). Is it ok?
I still can not add files from “My Computer” to “My own safe files”, “My protected files” etc. I have also observed this with the program Folder Lock, which I downloaded today. When I want to add files via “My computer” I am not able to expand the “+” mark. So I think it is not a bug in Comodo, but somewhere in my PC and I can not deal with it :-[
Edit: in the version 3.8 I could expand the “+” mark and add files to these groups…

Awesome update!! I have been beta testing Win 7 for a while (I waited to install it until 3 weeks ago) and then found Comodo (FireWall & Anti-virus) wouldn’t work. I got a “Unknown Network Problem” that the diagnostics could not fix and the report showed that nothing was wrong?! So I have been looking at “BitDefender” which is one of the few that works with Beta 7. It is an awesome product, but I want Comodo and have always used it until MS’s latest ■■■■■ up!

Same here. Did a clean install of 507 but stuck with DB 1157: “The virus signature database is up-to-date”.
Win XP SP3.
i did manual update and have to wait for atleast 15-20 mins (it stops at 30% for 15-20 minutes so do not close it, let it update and it will complete) the download size is 35 mb thats why i guess it takes time (mine is 512 kbps speed and it took total 20 mins)

Yes there is a problem with the update. So when 3.8 users update to 3.9, virus database is not updated because of the URL change that was supposed to be hardcoded.
We will replace the proper binaries tomorrow. So until tomorrow, 3.8 virus DB updates may be late.
Is there an advantage doing a clean install over an update from 3.8?
Only three tings:
- Slovak, not Slowak ;D
- How about change status of a translators to a something like “COMODO Translator”?

I made a clean install from RC2, wanted to make sure everything went right. So far everything is running smoothly. :-TU Running Firewall and Proactive Defence. Way to go Comodo.

First congrats to Comodo team for releasing new version. I will try to test it on my older desktop machine [p4 3.0ghz, 2gb ddr1, vista32] and on newest laptop [CD t3200 2.0ghz, 4gb ddr2, vista64], hopefully I am expecting more speeder working with newer CIS version. I hope that random lags are fixed too, that people with older PCs can work efficient with Comodo IS installed. Also I had a terrible problems with ICS, these two machines are connected over WiFi - but ICS didn’t work clearly on previous 3.8 version of Comodo Firewall. Only ICS worked that time when I turned off completely comodo firewall. I am expecting than this problem is fixed in this newest version. Cheers to all. ;D

I can answer the question now myself if there is an advantage: It is hidden in the first post: Yes, there is an advantage as D+ stores things now differently. Let’s hope that the few-second-timeouts are now history.
Btw, why is there no torrent download? The servers seem to be heavily overloaded.
As I don’t use the AV component, I don’t care about the small error in it.
Yes. A small update will have to be issued tomorrow. It is related to location of the updates path. cmdagent.exe still using this key while it should not. This makes things complicated and disables virus updates.
Thats why we will resume the updates tomorrow. If you clean install there is no problem.
I guess (and hope) it’s the same for those who did clean install too…
I did clean install and can’t update to 1160… still 1157!
BTW, changing manually the path in our clients doesn’t do the work? This new binaries for tomorrow means a new release that we will have to upgrade to?
