After more tests even after clean installation, I find that the RC1 496 firewall is not functioning properly in my PC with the following symptom;

1. there are alerts for internet access for some apps. eg. firefox but no alert for some others eg. Filezilla
2. no traffic animation on tray icon
3. no traffic shows on summary section
4. no firewall events shows
5. forget to mention that I also install threatfire in the PC.
6. I have 2 installations, 1 works fine with 496 (with little applications installed ) and 1 with the Firewall problems (the one I normally work with lot of apps.)

No luck The firewall is still not working for my PC

Operating system: Windows XP SP3
CIS version: 3.9.73525.496 - Firewall & Defense+ only
Other security software: Nod32 2.7
Firewall security level: Safe
Defense+ security level: Safe
Configuration: Proactive Security

It failed CLT teak test suite on the following 3 items

1. ICMP Test
2. DNS Test
3. Coat

It also allow Firefox access internet even I treat it as “Blocked Application”, see attach.

This is a very fussy aspect, but I thought I may as well post it:

For versions after 3.5, I have noticed CIS taking longer to initialize on windows start-up. The actual Comodo system tray icon loads as fast as ever, but CIS seems to take another 10 seconds or so to fully initialize until you get the “All systems are active and running” indicator with the green tick. With older versions of Comodo, the time to fully initialize and achieve the green tick was almost spontaneous with the loading of the tray icon.

Anyone notice this?

I’m using Win XP, SP3, 32-bit. No other security software installed real-time. I have Sandboxie and Superantispyware on demand. I’m currently using CIS 3.9 RC2.

Your still using the Beta version. 3.9.75615.498 is the RC2
Still, with every release, I get 340/340.

Firewall and Defense+ on Safe mode, Proactive security.

Can you please uninstall NOD32 and try again. It seems it is interferring with something.

Well… this begs the question.
Am i the only person trying these betas and RC’s on XP Pro SP2 x64 ?

Again no traffic display anywhere. And if I uninstall the RC then 3.8 works famously.
Can anyone say that it is working on this OS ?

If it’s not a bug, and CIS goes final like this then I need to start looking at how I can fix this ???

Subject: “Active” tag vanish when deleting one configuration/profile.

1. Operating System and Service Pack revision: Win XP SP3 BR full updated.

2. Other Security and Utility Software Installed:
a) running: Peerguardian 2 RC1 test2-2
b) NOT running (any realtime dev): MBAM, SAS

3. Step by step description to reproduce the issue: Go to Miscellaneous–>Manage My Configurations–>Highlight one configuration NOT in use–>Click on Remove. Then you will see the “Active” tag of the other and not removed configuration is gone.

4. How to resolve the problem: Just select (highlight) the configuration and click on “Activate”. (well, I think that maybe it’s just a glitch in that page and this is not really in need, but I did it “just-in-case”)

5. Upload Memory Dumps on crash if any: NA

6. Attach screenshots to clarify the issue further: Really necessary? :o

9. Any other information that might be useful: This is NOT so important, only reporting something weird. 88)

   No Real-Time or Any Other Conflicting Software Install’d

3. Step by step description to reproduce the issue: Install CIS > Follow Installer Instructions > Disable SafeSurf and “ThreatCast” > Restart
   This is where you should see the missing Title Bar for “Network Detected” and Other Settings But The Main GUI Is Ok

4. How to resolve the problem: Restart Once Again

5. Upload Memory Dumps on crash if any: None

6. Attach screenshots to clarify the issue further: I’ll Post Some Soon

7. Any other information that might be useful: EasyVPN, TrustConnect Install’d
