Comodo Internet Security 2020 v12.2.2.7036 Released.

:-TU

On Windows 10 Pro x64 20H2 19042.330 works fine

Latest update to WIn10 2004 (19041.331) . . . everything working just fine. No problems

I have found two interesting sites:

- For regular users, the Comodo Antivirus may seem a bit too complicated. - in terms of phishing and ransomware protection, this software is not perfect. - It?s not the worst solution on the market, of course, but it doesn?t appeal to a wide range of potential customers. - Sadly, .....it only blocked 15% of our phishing pages - virtual desktop ...is a 100% isolated environment and provides max security

and there this link:

I made all tests (all add ons deactivated but 'Comodo Online Security) - CIS has passed all tests

I have not 85% protection (so far), but 100%! The most importent feature for me!

ESET online scanner: 100%
Hitman Pro: 100%
Malware bytes:100%
comodo scanning: 100%
adwcleaner: 100%

Phishing: I rely on trafficlight by bitdefender, https everywhare, and my “internal paranoid mode”.

Be careful:

CIS reports 3 blocked files (Attachment) and 3 recognized!

To be sure, I’ll play back my backup!

Edit:

trafficlight reports: These pages are secure!

Yesterday, I finally got tired of waiting for the automatic update to arrive. I uninstalled CF 6882 and installed 7036. Everything appears to be running well so far. The only anomaly I have encountered is when running the diagnostics. It claims to find errors it cannot fix. I looked at the xml file, but don’t know how to resolve the failures.

It’s a known and recorded bug, which records faults which actually aren’t. Unless there is a problem with CIS or you’re asked to run Diagnostics, there’s no need to

It is due to be rectified in the next Beta or RC release

Hello prallo & heffiji,

Thank you for your patience and sorry for the inconvenience,Teams are checking in it.

Hello rmcohen,

Teams are working in it and hopefully it will be reflecting in the upcoming release.

Thanks Ploget and Dharshu. I’ll ignore the errors.

Hello.

I’m still on 12.1.0.6914, and was wondering when (or if at all…) v12.2.2.7036 will be pushed to the in-line Updater for already-existing end-user installations.

Congrats on the release and all, but it’s been a while since it got put up in the forums, so I was wondering if I should just give up waiting for it to update automatically, and just use the installers I downloaded to manually upgrade.

Thanks.

I gave up (see above)…

One of the reasons I was looking forward to this update was because of the release note that Chrome crashing in containment had been fixed. It must have been a different issue because I am still experiencing a problem.

For at least as long as I had been running 6882, Chrome can freeze when I try to log in to outlook.live.com (Hotmail). It freezes on the login ID screen. I have to open up Task Manager, find the not responding Chrome.exe task and kill it. Then, restart Chrome and try again (often many times until it works or I give up). There doesn’t seem to be any obvious cause; sometimes it freezes and other times it doesn’t.

Unfortunately, I experienced the same issue in 7036. It only occurs when I launch Chrome from the widget (in containment). I have never had this problem when launching Chrome from the Windows start menu.

Please assist.

Thank you, I think the choice is clear.

I do pity any other COMODO users who have not yet realised there is a forum post about a new update though.

Anyway, thanks for the reply, I will upgrade sometime and will maybe report the results here, if there is any incident worth noting.

Hello DeathCat,

Please let me know are you still had the issue on accessing CSS?

Hello Dharshu,
Is there any information about the release time of the CIS 12.3?

Yes, safe shopping does not work. CIS and CSS reinstalled twice on two systems, the same error that the browser could not be verified.

Hello megaherz33,

Developing team members are working in it.Once completed,I will notify you.
Have a nice day

My motto is “It’ll be ready whenever its ready”
Try not to expect CIS to update more then 1 - 2 times a year. If it does, then great. That’s the simplest logic I can think of

Hello heffiji,

  1. Please use the latest Comodo Uninstaller Tool (Select upon your windows bit) for the complete Uninstall of the CIS. Then install and check.
  2. For CIS update issue : I will check with the team again.

Hello DeathCat,

Could you please send me the screenshot of the exact error code ?
