Comodo IceDragon v65.0.2.15 is now available for download

It’s sad. Life goes on. CID had a rapid launch and fast loading of websites.
New houses are being built on the rubble. This is just another lizard that launches the store, monitoring, tracking, access to all computer user data.
Simple life without comodo. The browser was better than CIS.
You can run disconnect me, uBO and netcraft, popups blocker, .
Protect your savings from Phishing attacks.
Protect your credit card information from being stolen by shopping site skimmers
See the hosting location and Risk Rating of every site you visit (as well as other information).
Help defend the Internet community from fraudsters.
Check if a website supports Perfect Forward Secrecy (PFS).
See if a website is affected by the aftermath of the Heartbleed vulnerability
Stop web miners from slowing down your computer
In ice dragon comodo, you could make the Internet secure and check every file for caution on virus total. For comodo - google viruses are known good files. Yes, MS viruses - these are known good files for comodo, but not for me.

For me, comodo ceases to exist.
Goodbye

Most sites will still work but they cannot guarantee it will work because it was not tested in older browsers… yada yada yada… etc…

I’m hoping the IceDragon team will get a release out soon though.

sites notify that they may soon not support icedragon
as a band-aid solution, you can always change the "User Agent" strings from icedragon to firefox v 68 (I say v68 because thats the oldest supporting version by firefox. also known as the "esr" edition. extended release edition) until comodo updates the icedragon. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/user-agent-string-switcher/?src=featured this extension would be a good one to change the user strings and mozilla gave this extension a recommendation star of approvel

Just my opinion, If comodo doesn’t want to update icedrangon often as past history shows, then they should base it on the firefox extended service release editions
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Release_Management/Calendar
the esr edtions dont update the core for at least a year.

just my 2 cents

Thank you Jay, it is a very good idea i will forward it.Thank You!

addons not compatible, alerting sites is outdated…
but icedragon is safe, its version only becomes outdated

CIS - netflix you will open, but you will not start the movie.
Because Google keeps its paw on DRM codes and small innovative browsers are not licensed for that.

CID needs a google layout!
Then you will build a fast browser that will beat firefox.

CIS - netflix you will open, but you will not start the movie.
Maybe this is a good time to upgrade to "IPTV" >:-D The price and getting every possible channel cant be beat. :-La

:frowning: Sad to hear this and a pity for those of us that prefer this to a chrome based browser.

Sorry to say I’ll be moving over to Firefox or Firefox ESR .

The version becomes outdated and does not receive any security patches unlike Firefox ESR, so surely becomes unsafe as well ?

not unsafe, but becomes incompatible and loses its purpose :-TU

This is unfortunate. I hope they sell enough of the $17.99/year deals to pay for the R&D to fund Ice Dragon, Online Security Pro, etc. Even at $17.99, it’s a GOOD deal. At least for those who have income. For those in the US, Trump has sent out the checks. Then upgrade to PRO. 8)

Edit: It looks like the $17.99 deal is the Pro version. That’s better than before!

sites incompatible (yahoo mail, for exemple :-\

It’s OK here. Mine is working good.

yes, you acess sites. But alert browser no updated… :-\

seeing how firefox updated its “esr” edition to 78, now would be a great time forCcomodo Developers to update Icedragon

indubitably :-TU

I went to the site Alternativeto.net and they list IceDragon as discontinued. I can see why they would think so, over a year and nothing at all. If it is dead and they aren’t planning to do anymore with it they should say so, that doesn’t take much effort on their part. They don’t seem to think much of their fan base, but then neither does Firefox or Google.

I stopped using it, been using Waterfox with the extension for the old youtube layout, and yt opened fast enough but now with those extensions not working anymore the new layout is slow. Funny thing I tried IceDragon and yt loaded very fast with the new layout. Makes me think of it again and wish they would do something with it. But I’m not hopeful at this point are any of you? Be honest! After a year of nothing and vulnerabilities fixed by others, wouldn’t you call it unsafe now.

I think not, there was no pronouncement from the developers or staff;
icedragon accompanies versions esr… code mozilla firefox. Wait pronouncement staff…

i use icedragon…

Sorry my english!

last I heard a new version was being worked on, with no ETA … but it would be up to date… then COVID happened… so…

Well, it’s good to hear that news but at least they are working on a new version. It is good enough for me. :-TU

I heard a new version was being worked on, with no ETA .. but it would be up to date.. then COVID happened.. so...
