CIS - Comodo Internet Security also 2025 - Made Windows fail upgrade

I have the same problem, that is, a Windows update error. Uninstalling Comodo helped. In addition, there was the problem that despite disabling such an option, Comodo constantly blocked applications without notification. Sometimes it would notify, and sometimes it would block itself. For now, I have uninstalled Comodo. I can’t afford not to have Windows updates.

You need to be using the very latest version. There was a certificate issue with the previous version (.8140).

I had the latest version

Uninstall is not necessary! Before updating the system, I simply turn off all the components through the checkboxes (it is better to the level of “constantly”), and after the correct installation of the system (usually it turns out), I turn on the components back into the desired modes (usually “safe mode”).

HI Xao_Fan-Tzilin,

we have tested and found no issues .
Could you please share us any related screenshot ? so that we will check and update you.

Thanks

I have no problem, but xKvitravn has a problem.
But if he followed my advice, he also will not have problems.
Nevertheless, it is still desirable that CIS allow the system to be updated without unnecessary body movements.

Good morning all, I have the same issue with updates and I want to report few stuff:

  • Windows 11 24H2 is unable to receive windows updates if installed with external media such as a flash drive. An in-place installation solves the issue

In addition:

  • COMODO Firewall is blocking windows updates at the moment! I have used the product for nearly 10 years and never had an issue with them. The problem emerged also on a machine where I did not reinstall windows recently, and I had to disable the firewall module to make them work. In addition, on another machine, I had to fully remove the product to make them work!

Please COMODO solve this issue!

I tried your method and something was still blocking the updates. Comodo still worked. The update simply takes a long time to download, supposedly installs, and then shows an error. It’s possible, I don’t know, because that I’m using a system from the Windows Insider Program (but beta, not dev). Although that shouldn’t be a problem.

Yes, I have(had) this problem. I described it earlier. Check it out because I see more and more people have it.

Following on from my post yesterday. Updates still working here.

We are talking about full updating the system, not about the components of the system.

Okay. We’ll see how the next 24H2 Cumulative update goes
