Brand New Comodo Internet Security 10 Hotfix Version is Released !

I use windows 10 64b. Windows Hyper-V does not work with lates Comodo Firewall. When I uninstall Comodo, Hyper-V works. Is there any solution for it?

Sorry you are having this problem. You may find if you switch off enhanced protection mode and reboot it will work. Please report this as a bug on the bugs bard.

I should be offered on autoupdate soon, but cannot say when. Possibly after the next version.

I am sorry for my question but I do not understand you. My English is not good. What is it enhanced protection? I use Proactive configuration. And the next question is where is bugs bard?

thank you for your answer. When I switch OFF enhanced protection will be Sandbox work? I use Sandbox from Comodo very often.

Icedragon, if set as the default driver does work, just FYI

Yes it will, but it will use different tech - Comodo instead of MS

Could you please elaborate? What do you mean by Comodo Sandbox VS. Microsoft Sandbox? Which is the safest?
Usually enhanced protection mode should be ON if using a 64bit OS, right?

OK. I understand little:). I do notk now how to say it in EN.

But when I uninstalled Comodo FW and then I reinstalled it some part of Comodo disappeared. I do not know the name of this part. It was in ADD or REMOVE PROGRAMMES in Windows.

OK mouse, thanks a lot.

I am having two persistent problems, starting with “Windows 10 1607 kernel drivers signature issue” addressed by 8.4.0.5165 Hotfix.
For short: To check these, I installed CFW version 10.0.0.6092 on a clean Windows 10 Home updated system. Uninstalling CFW resolves both issues. I use only the firewall with “Proactive Security”. I disabled one by one HIPS, Defense+ and Sandbox.

  1. My Intel Real Sense 3D F200 camera (Windows Hello!) stops working. (I wrote already about this problem). I found nothing in windows logs, and the corresponding service is rated OK. Despite this, the service is stopped and could not be started, even manually. Switching to “Internet Security” from “Proactive Security”, solves this issue.
  2. CFW Prevents from sleeping/hibernation my Lenovo AiO Touch B50-30. After one minute of “sleep/hibernation”, the system starts again. The windows logs mention as cause “Unknown”. The security configuration does not matter.

The hot fix did not fix the issues with Secure Shopping notifications. Ebay and Bestbuy work as expected but not amazon or any of my my banks. Secure Shopping works with Edge but not my default browser (Chrome) or Firefox.

I do not have full details on this, unfortunately. My understanding is that windows libraries that make use of hardware functions built in to modern processor chips are used in enhanced protection mode.

My guess is that this should be slightly more leak-proof and/or generally more compatible that Comodo’s software virtualisation.

However Comodo’s libraries are kernel based and therefore very solid anyway.

(If anyone knows more please do post)

Sorry we have not been given a list of the fixes in the 6093 release. Please make sure these have been reported as bugs on the bug board.

Nice work guys. However today I had one issue with CIS 10… after weird bluescreen of Win 10 I had to restart my pc, after that, CIS was disabled. Windows reported that Firewall protection as well as AV is off.Any Idea what caused the problem?

when automatic update will be available?

As already stated above, we do not know how soon automatic update will be available. Should be soon, though.

Saw the ad show up for CIS 10 in the corner, had a look to see what’s up since there was no update notification and… frankly, I feel like crying here. Just a glance through the release threads, the initial one and this, first and last two pages each, and all sorts of problems, apparent need to thoroughly clean previous install instead of a simple update, additional components installed somewhat sneakily or I see in one case even forced, so far still no proper offline installers (by the way, one use of offline installers is if you want an older version, to test, as a rollback after a newer one causes problems, or simply because you prefer it), an interface that at a glance looks to be heading in that awful direction MS pushes to since Win 8, more automated behaviors and I dread what that may mean about it still being a full hands on tool for system control and monitoring by the user.
Sure, after just glancing here for a few minutes, I may well be wrong about some things, but I really REALLY DON’T want to even try it based on this. Just been using Comodo Firewall for two years now and it suits my needs just so so well and I oppose what the current mainstream direction in software is (automated behaviors instead of hands on user control (even as an option, I mean), set and forget stuff, forced updates (no, never, period!!!), this sort of interface seeming more for touch and so… pale, etc.) so vehemently and will not accept it in the important programs on my computer that I now just dread what may come.
Ranting, but… yeah. As it stands, I’m not touching this, and no idea what I’ll do in the future.
