Instead of the text being white, it is grayed-out, as you can see. It displays just fine in Firefox, so it is likely not YouTube specifically. I can not only reproduce the grayed-out text, it is a continuous issue. It just suddenly changed, and has never changed back. However, non-embedded subtitles have displayed correctly on other sites with video.
Another problem I am having is the loss of window focus. I will lose browser focus mid-sentence. Yet another issue that has just come up very recently is line-returns are being doubled in a YouTube comment window; as in, it is sending the packet(s) with an additional line return for some reason.
So when I type this:
"Happy new year!
Free â– â– â– â– tonite!"
And use only one line-return, it will post as this:
"Happy new year!
Free â– â– â– â– tonite!"
As yet another issue is, on occasion, at random, I will lose the ability to scroll with the mouse wheel. It just stops working altogether, yet dragging the scroll bar still works normally. The mouse-wheel scrolling just simply quits working altogether, but for some reason, reloading the page solves it. I’m not sure, but this may be related to the “lost focus” issue. This also happens primarily with YouTube for some reason, but not exclusively YouTube.
Okay so instances are an inherited issue from Chromium. I can manage that if I really have to with thread priority. But if there is a fix for the YouTube issues, that would be great because I do a lot of my work there, as well as other sites that use the same coding. As I said before, the [Preview] radio button on this very form is not functional as well (javascript error?), so I hope this turns out okay. To add, the shortcut on this form (alt+P) does not work either on this very same browser.
Oddly the lack of spellcheck that I had before suddenly cured itself (for now, maybe). What seems apparent though is that the container for streaming video either has a memory leak or is somehow running redundant routines in memory, enough so that I have actually had an “out of memory” error that crashed the entire machine at the kernel-level (the “you’re boned” kind of crash, hard reset), but not as of late, however I get very close sometimes.
Someone else had the same issue I had with logging into Disqus, getting a connection error in the newly-generated window, and I have not seen a fix for that yet. Well anyway, I hope this can be helpful, because I would really like to NOT straddle two separate browsers just to get the job done…I have a few other issues, but I want to pace myself to what is most important, relative to this thread, without “flooding” it too much. Thanks in advance for working on these issues. Whatever this issue is, it seems to definitely have something to do with how Dragon interprets YouTube.
