NoScript offers users who wish to disable it to “Yes, remove ALL protections” or “No, just stop blocking scripts”. I’d opted for the latter each time then restarted IceDragon, but unfortunately no change with the search bar.
Earlier, I uninstalled NoScript but have since reinstalled it.
It retained my original settings, which I’ve since reset.

I don’t know how you worked that out from the long list, but many thanks. The source outfoxed us all initially, but I am relieved that I now know how to allow/disallow the Legsandcoblogspot link.
Google and other companies are a nuisance intrusively tracking people, without their consent, but you’ve solved the problem, and the beauty of Do Not Track Me is that it can be enabled and disabled to tailor the user’s requirements.
