For some reason, getting an error when resetting container. Trying to troubleshoot the issue.
EDIT: Figured out. It doesn’t reset container when a temporary script is in containment but works fine when for example Firefox is in container.
Hi EricCryptid,
Thank you for reporting.
Is the issue resolved now ?
Thanks

Thanks. It still happened when one of the files from C:\ProgramData\Comodo\Cis\tempscrpt is in containment but not an issue if something else is being contained. It’s probably just CIS/CFW protecting it’s own generated script files. I’ve purged that folder and waiting to see if it recurs. Not an issue really though.
I would like to see some sort of way to whitelist the Lenovo diagnosis background powershell scripts but it doesn’t seem to affect anything just creates a few of these tempscript files every reboot and I’ve just changed the alert settings to run inside the container to saving having to dismiss the alert.
Will let you know if any other issues arise. Tanhks.
Eric, are temp scripts fully dynamic? I mean, if they are always different, like use time or other random variables?
They very only slightly so it makes sense that more are created by CIS/CFW but I’ve learned to ignore them now, there just happens to be a fair few but I could always lower the size limit.
Hi EricCryptid,
We have reported to the team.
We will keep you posted.
Thanks

Hello Melih,
Can you tell us a bit more about CIS 2026?
Will there be new features in CIS 2026?
Will there also be a new security app for Android?
Or an all-inn package (windows / android) like the competition also offers?
Hi, are the top links updated and include a FULL offline installer for CIS Premium?
Hi k1k2k3,
The above link has attached with the 2025 CIS offline release.
Thanks

Hi Comodo!
Where? or how should i post an critical issue?
Dearly hoping it can be looked at for Comodo 2026 (thankyou alot Melih for posting on Sept 21 that Comodo 2026 is still being worked on).
Am a very long time comodo user. This software package is unique and dearly hope to keep using! Happy to pay, as it’s that essential.
Have run into a critical issue with Win10pro(x64) and Nvidia drivers approx >570, for both older and latest version of comodo.
Issue centers on boot with cmdguard.sys active (minidump & disable on boot confirmed 100%).
Updated to this latest 12.3.4.8162 (premium), and still boot failure.
Previously could not setup new account here, in order to post, because couldn’t get activation mail after trying for 2 days.
Just finally got all activation emails. Felt kinda like they got set free from some internal jam.
Between those 2 time frames when couldn’t post here,
did a full thread discussing in depth my issue here >>
https://malwaretips.com/threads/help-comodo-2025-cmdguard-sys-boot-fail-with-newer-nvidia-drivers.138577/
The forum user BOT there provided good confirmations.
Please advise how best to proceed.
Thanks!
Hi Something_x2,
Thank you for reporting.
We will check and update you .
Thanks

@ Comodo_RT, Thanks ALOT x1000 for advising!
Comodo remains my prefered anti-malware by a long shot.
Will patiently check in from time to time.
" Comodo is still my favorite anti-malware tool. " I totally agree with you!!!
Very happy to see others feel same. Upon checking the competition after being sidelined by latest issue posted above, it really was a strong reminder how powerful and unique Comodo is. In this day and age, the granularity it offers makes it quintessential for some of us.
Will Win10 be supported by Comodo in next version 2026?
Am trying to assess my options. Thks ![]()
Just use the current version?
Still having cmdguard.sys issues with Comodo 2025 on Win10pro & newer Nvidia drivers. Maybe user or maybe win10 issue. So my hope is 2026 may additionally offer a fix if Win10 issue. fyi: Have thread on this forum for this issue. Still WIP after lots of troubleshooting.
Hi There,
CIS Premium 2025 v12.3.4.8162 as far as I remember has been out for over 1 yr now.
I wondered is there a newer version on the way ?.
Thanks in advance.
It’s (somewhat) disappointing:
Up until now, comodo has protected my PC very well. But times have changed. Can comodo meet these new challenges or even keep up? I finally subscribed, and now this. Or is it just another instance of poor test results, because comodo simply works differently than other programs?
But the following is also written there:
On the positive side, Comodo’s firewall provides excellent protection, and the virtual desktop tool is helpful for safely running suspicious apps. However, many rivals offer similar and superior features.
Is this still sufficient?
Would say, depends how you want to use your anti-malware vs your online/file DL habits.
More users want set and forget. Many have latest OS (if meet Win11 requirements) and latest AV. If something happens, not their fault.
That means DL signatures several times a day from AVs, get latest OS updates (even if messes up their system) and because most others are doing that, they go with what everyone says.
ALOT of reviewers will be assessing from this >50% population wishes.
Thankfully, Comodo (and Xcitium so they make money) still offers a different way of doing things.
Between CruelSisters use of strong Containment (arguably more set and forget - though not a user of that system myself at this time),
or taking alot more time to setup/train HIPs you can arguably lock down your computer alot.
And there is added feature that where you travel on internet and what files you DL will directly affect your risk exposure.
So can change practices to make that safer to a big degree.
Do think it’s kinda known Comodo’s AV is not as robust as it should be.
So possibly use another party for AV? More trial and error.
But Comodo suite makes up for it in so many other ways. Firewall, containement, HIPs, script heurestics.
So you’d need to tons of case studies to see how this risk or that risk is mitigated by Comodo detection system vs heavily signature based systems.
I know which side i’m going with as someone who likes a controlled environment trying to stay safe with all the external forces around.
Perfect?
Reminds me of quite a years big enterprise Adobe got hacked exposing all users personal data (including mine).
Perfect today. Lacking maybe tomorrow. Perfection doesn’t exist.
