When you checked did you also click “OK” afterward, then close Comodo’s user interface? Those steps are also required to actually test this.

It doesn’t just stop at clicking OK, though. You have to close the UI after that, then try to reopen it. It won’t open and upon restarting the PC, Comodo won’t launch at all.

You might try to test this setting again. Back up your configuration beforehand, just in case, but it doesn’t block CIS anymore for me. I tested on two computers and it seems they fixed on their end somehow.
For me the bug is still there !
I unchecked the setting and closed the UI.
When I rightclick on the taskbar icon and choose Open nothing happens.
I tried within the Windows Start Menu and it doesn´t open too.
After a reboot the same !
In the task manager I can see CIS running.
Means for me the bug is still there !
@Cassette: Can you open CIS after a reboot ?
Yes, CIS reopens after reboot. It used to not even load after reboot. Now it loads and it opens even after reboot.

I really tried recreate the issue and I can to a point. If I install CIS with no internet connection and uncheck that setting. It will not open. I had an old install that hadn’t been updated in a few months and same thing. No internet and it won’t open. After turning on the internet and waiting a few moments, it opens. Maybe it’s applying some mini-update that fixes it. I dunno.
