Now the only thing someone can do is to Upload the Exploit to CAMAS/Valkyrie for Static and Dynamic Beheviour Analysis
My issue with firewall totally broken is still there… update did nothing to me
and look at network monitoring… AGAIN NOTHING THERE

What you have done surely:
Uninstalling with the deinstaller (perhaps not with the newest one)
manually remove all the rest of cis
cleaning the registry (not all entries can be removed (but I think that doesn’t matter - a programmer can perhaps do this ) - make a backup to have a system without CIS
install f.e. cis 8012 (a version before the certificate problem)
I already did many things… uninstalled CIS many times… used couple different uninstallers, removed anything possible after those uninstallers… removed drivers from OS driverstore… after full clean install of cis firewall is unable to monitor network traffic, killswitch shows network traffic perfectly and cis diagnostics shows that everything works just fine but it is NOT… firewall is unable to work at all no rules can be used while it is unable to monitor traffic… only “block all traffic” function works… it happen first on previous non 2025 version… and updates/upgrades uninstalls / clean installs didn;t fix that
Just a thought. Have you also been using Comodo DNS (an option enabled by default in the installation)? It’s no something I’ve used for some years as my ISP router ignores changing DNS. But if you have, you can simply disable that by changing the Adapter option to Obtain DNS server address automatically. You’ll need to restart afterwards.
Nope, never… I was always using (and still) DNS only from my ISP
Perhaps making a new profile ?
What do you mean making new profile? LOL with that latest update I even can’t install killswitch… it is even more broken than before… now i have not working firewall and cannot install killswitch…
Context menu (right click) scanning of folders is broken as it just doesn’t scan ANY content inside folder. Same for Scan Folder option in main menu of Antivirus panel.
Not having the issue at my end though it is quite quick.
Have you tested with, for example, the eicar test file or a zip in a folder?
Mine also ends in exactly 7 seconds. That’s not normal for a game folder of 40GB… No AV is THAT fast.
Thanks. I tested it with 140 gigs of games and it only took 13 seconds.
I did drop eicar test file in downloads and did a scan as that folder contains 5gig of files, again 7 seconds but still detected the file several folders deep.
Anyway, seems to be scanning the files. Full scan takes some time and is more of a deep scan but I haven’t got the time this evening to delve into it further.
Maybe the files in your folder are too large, and CIS has set limits on the size of scanned files by default… Therefore, a quick scan is possible.
Are you the only user who is experiencing these problems?
On my laptop, which I use every day, I didn’t take any risks with the new versions of Comodo CIS and stuck with 12.2.8012. It may not be perfect, but it works well.
The new versions of Comodo CIS give me the impression that the software is going backwards in terms of reliability and stability. This is very worrying for the future of the product.
I hope that there will be a new, more stable version of it soon.
Wouldn’t the number of files to be scanned be a more important parameter in the duration of a full scan than the size of the files?
Perhaps Comodo should go back to doing public release candidates. This killswitch install failure is a pretty obvious problem that was caught almost immediately after release. Clearly internal testing isn’t cutting it. The regression from 12.3.3.8152 where unchecking “Rate applications according to their vendor rating” leaves the UI is also still present in the new release.
For anyone adventurous enough, you can copy the killswitch install files from the previous version and drop them in the Comodo program folder in safe mode and it actually works.
Install files or installed files?
The only killswitch install files that you can get, the ones in the Comodo program folder. The installer doesn’t have anything in the killswitch directory.
It looks like Comodo has fixed the killswitch install issue on their end. No need for dirty fixes now.
