Good news! We’ve just rolled out version 12.3.3.8152 of Comodo Internet Security 2025, which resolves the recent certificate issue. You can now download this updated version directly and enjoy the latest features and full functionality:
First and foremost, your protection was never compromised – all core security layers continued to operate as expected for existing installations. The main impact was that the CIS 2025 installer was blocked due to the invalid certificate, meaning new installations weren’t possible. Additionally, some functionalities – like activating the warranty and downloading extra components (e.g., Comodo Cleaning Essentials (CCE) and KillSwitch) – weren’t fully accessible.
If you already have Comodo Internet Security installed, you can update to the latest version by simply downloading the installer and running it to install the new version without uninstalling the existing version. We’re still working on enabling the direct upgrade feature, but this method will get you up-to-date without any issues.
Thanks for sticking with us, and we’ll keep you posted on our progress!
Thank you for your work in fixing the certification issue. What’s the progress on this bypass issue? As far as I know, it has not been fixed in this latest version.
That’s great, but now it’s time to put this version on the website. I know it’s extremely complicated to change out a file on a web server, but it should be done. It should take minutes, not hours or days.
Алекс? привет! А накой она там нужна. Кроме папки Комодо в исключениях изначально нет ничего. Что в общем то не мешает добавить ее вручную, с осознание всех рисков этого действия.
I just upgraded to this version from version 12.3.3.8140 (firewall only) by “simply downloading the installer and running it to install the new version without uninstalling the existing version”.
Here are my intial findings:
Installer does not detect the installed products (firewall only in my case) and tries to install the full product (so also antivirus). You have to explicitely uncheck the firewall in options.
After upgrading, the configuration that was active before upgrading is not loaded. Instead the default configuration is loaded. Luckily, the old configurations are kept as separate versions, that can easily be activated.
Because the default configration was loaded, I was asked to either ‘activate the product with a license key’ or ‘upgrade’. The upgrade option takes you to the page of CAV 2022! Luckily, you can simply close this window.
So, while I’m glad Comodo is still alive, the user experience of the upgrade process could use some improvements. And the ‘post installation’ welcome screen is very confusing (activate or upgrade).
I’ve given up hope that they will ever put any serious effort into truly improving things for CIS. We get whatever time they have left after they work on more important things like Xcitium. I’m just glad we finally got an installable version again.
