Unfortunately it hasn’t worked for me. I was running 12.3.3.8140 w/o a problem but thought I may as well upgrade. The installer started to do its thing then asked for a reboot. On restarting I found it had uninstalled the 12.3.3.8140 version but not completely. I then ran the CIS uninstaller which wouldn’t complete correctly and everything went downhill from there with CIS basically not starting or uninstalling.
I gave up at that point and re-cloned the disk back from one I’d made just in case. Tried everything as per the instructions but no luck at all. Re-cloned back again and decided to leave it at 12.3.3.8140 which is running perfectly. I’ll wait for the direct upgrade to arrive whenever
Since the Comodo CIS Pro license activation doesn’t work at all for me… Can I install the Premium version and then, once the problem has been solved by Comodo, enter the license key number in that version to transform it straight away into the Pro version?
or will I have to uninstall Premium again and reinstall Pro?
@Overclocker-001 can you share the exact problem? Is activation failing with some error? Or is it something else? some screenshots would be very useful for us.
After six or seven unsuccessful requests to suscriptions support, now they don’t answer me at all.
Thank you for showing your personal interest in my problem, because they don’t.
They’ve never even asked me any questions, either technical or administrative (about my Comodo or Bluesnap account, for example).
Alas, I’d like to help a lot more, but if I count the forum, this is not far from my tenth exchange on the subject.
I must now use my computer to attend to essential tasks. So I’m going to upgrade to the free Premium version, while paying the Pro version for nothing.
I should add that I took the trouble to completely reset Windows 10 Pro so that there was nothing other than Comodo CIS Pro.
Activation never works.
Alas, I can’t waste any more time. I’m switching to the Premium version until happier times…
I should point out that I’m still paying for the Pro version to support Comodo (for a product I can’t use). (It’s almost like open source since it’s like a financial donation on my part…) (I do the same thing for Mozilla, so why not!)
Why, when uninstalling Comodo CIS Pro, did the DNS settings change from Comodo’s DNS servers 8.26.56.26 and 8.20.247.10 to neustar’s 156.154.70.25 and 156.154.71.25?
This was done without any warning.
What if I don’t like it?
What’s more, neustar seems to return dns errors to advertising sites…
Hello Comodo fans and team, Comodo Internet Security 12.3.3.8152 works flawlessly on my Windows 11 Home x64 bit 23H2 configuration CIS 2025 proactive security, thanks for the good work guys keep it up.
I’m delighted for you. Thanks for letting us know.
I have a favor to ask you if you’re bold enough …
Can you please try to deactivate the trust to editors in the settings, because in my case, this action (before or after reboot), freezes and completely blocks Comodo CIS Pro, as well as the PC…
(I’d rather warn you) Then, even the uninstall utility is no longer recognized and uninstallation is impossible.
It’s as if Comodo no longer trusted its own certificate…
Thank you for the suggestion and for your interest in this problem,
I don’t want to bother them anymore. They promised a few months ago to tackle the list of all the bugs, so I don’t want to disturb them in this laborious task.
Besides, this is a bug too, and since they’ve announced that they’re all going to disappear (those on the list drawn up for the CIS Pro 2024 beta), I’m waiting patiently, because, I trust, this one will be solved too.
There will be a happy ending, as in the history of certificates…
Perhaps a “steps to reproduce” would help. There is no “trust to editors” setting in CIS. I assume what you’re talking about, based on perusing the menus and finding the problematic setting, is under Advanced Settings > File Rating > File Rating Settings > Rate applications according to their vendor rating. Uncheck that box and click OK.
I don’t have a complete PC lockup, but the CIS UI is no longer accessible. I’m also unable to use the regular uninstaller. After restart the tray menu doesn’t load, so the application can no longer be controlled at all. Even when it is accessible, disabling all containment settings doesn’t allow the UI to load. The CIS cleanup tool in safe mode can remove the program.
Hello, so I think you need to be patient, sometimes this is the case with certification and the Comodo team will certainly fix the errors in the future, which mainly concern the CIS 2025 package.
