I don’t like to be switching all the time and my AV should be light since I seem to give it no work. So I agree with Eric.
That happens to me at times, but only after a system restore (not every time, I think it’s about the updater or update scheduler), and a reinstall fixes it every time. Since system restore isn’t for every day I don’t find it very upsetting. :-\
NOD32 is light. Web browsing is faster with NOD32 also. Avira modders know that there is problems with Avira 8 and there is suppose to be some major changes coming on.
I know KAV 09 is beta but to me its no better then 7.0. My boot up is alot slower also. The XP Knight rider flash usually goes about 6 times with KAV its around 12.

Well the free version is for home/personal users. The trial you can use it anywhere. For example the pc I use where I work.
I would never trust a no name product such as that on my pc.
It has over 50 million users. I beleive any chinese know it. I tested it. It’s efective. It has boot time scan like Avast. System protection, aplication protection. (not as advanced as Comodo but good) And it detected an annoying virus in my dad’s flashdrive. In my country almost nobody knows Avira, Avast and others. Only known ones here are Norton and Mcafee. Even though Kasperky is sold here too not many know it either. Just because it’s not known where you are, doesn’t make it less efective. Avast is awesome and so are other less known antiviruses.

I agree with you there , although I di like it when guys like that want to share useful stuff.
But as I said up front I agree with you and this is WAY TOO much to put into a forum. Now its like some web pages I hate, full of banners ads just to see what has been posted. THERE IS A BETTER WAY if a guy who is just trying to be
helpful but has a LOT to say. I do it like this:
1.) open your own web page, put all that stuff there
2.)Post a short line in this forum
3.) Leave it up to the good folks at this forum if they want to go there and look at it
4.) avaid what just happened here and stick it ALL in our face
