i recently upgraded my OS from Win7 to Win10. After that Comodo Firewall asked me about a lot of WIndows applications to access internet. I googled the understand what for are these applications and to decide to allow or block them.
After using the system in the next time I know noticed that I have issues to install the Windows updates. The download finishes, then reboot, the install beginns and takes long, at the end acctually gets to 100% but then it promts error 0x08… dont rememer it now. I made an inplace update of Wondows, so that should fix any problems with registry or in the system, but still getting errors while Windows update.
Last time i decided to stop Comodo and ran the update… acctually the same procedure BUT at the end the Windows updated succeeded. SO it should be something with Comodo causing to block the update.
I will try to set the blocked applications one by one to allow the internet access, and so I could find the causer.
But is there another way (exept allowing all the Windows stuff) ?
Thank you for your Co-operation.
You are using the older of CIS. So Could you please check with latest CIS v12.2.1.6950 Beta 2 and check (or) else please wait for the upcoming stable release. If it persist’s in the same condition in the sense please don’t hesitate to ping us.
I was waiting to see that CIS prompt me for an update, but till now no update prompt. And the manual search for updates via the GUI still gives me up-to-date. Why??? Whats is wrong?
thanks for feedback
