Have you noticed the green bar in the forum?

https://forums.comodo.com is now protected using EV SSL certificate.

this gives a green bar in your browser.

what do you think?

Melih

It’s a nice shade of green - I like it

(Seriously, any security additions are always nice to see)

Cheers

I think Comodo Forums are the one of the first (if not The First) Security Forum to adopt EV Security.

Most people won’t have a clue what it means. As I said elsewhere, I get different colours in my address bar from all sorts of sites, it’s just a way of displaying their thing…

Nice colour though

Why is this page only partially encrypted?

https://forums.comodo.com/empty-t41719.0.html;topicseen (my padlock has an exclamation mark beside it on this page).

Hi tsec,

OmeletGuy answered the similar question I asked here

Cheers!

Nice one SiberLynx.

Thanks heaps

When I google comodo, Go to home page I do not get any “green shade”

Only way I get the EV is by manually adding the S into the https://www.comodo.com

yeah i noticed it, very nice indeed. :-TU

Nice upgrade. Thanks. :-TU

Congrats on going EV. I noticed it almost immediately after logging in.

Very Nice ;D

actually posting the screenshot is a good.
perhaps we could post the screenshot from each browser so that everyone would know how it should look like?

thanks

Here is a screeny I made for Firefox and Opera.

I don’t use the secure HTTP on here only because flipping pages back and forth to view and read them causes each screen to pause and ask if I really do wish to view the page since it contains both secure and unsecure items. This becomes annoying after a bit.

I like it, but why is IE 8 displaying this->
http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/9841/screenshot1672009015444.th.png

Because there are secure and unsecured items on the pages (most likely the icons - guess on my part). This is why I don’t use HTTPS.
Gets annoying having to answer this for each and every screen/page you view, forward or reverse.

I do not use IE, just was curious :)Thank you!:))

Hi John B,

Attached is a pic of the control for security warnings, that takes care of the annoying warnings you experience with HTTPS back and forth etc…
In Firefox 3.5.

Should be some setting similar in other browsers.

I had the green bar, now it’s gone.
