Have you checked behind the couch?
Seriously though, mine is gone too, I suspect because this particular page contains some elements which are not encrypted.
Dch48,
If you mean this page right now itâs because of Johnâs sig [at]dragonadopters and bequickâs pic [at]imageshack.

I got rid of that by going to internet options and security, then choosing custom for the internet zone and enabling display mixed content. Now I no longer get that annoying popup but I have also lost the green bar on this page.
No green bar here either in Opera 10 for this page. That is because of the mixed sources. By default Opera wonât notify that both https and http elements are there but simply wonât show the page as being secure.
^ Confirmed by using both chrome and IE8âŚ
Kyle,
Click on the padlock at the top of the forum page to engage HTTPS session.

PS: If anyone comes here from bookmarks you should engage HTTPS and then redo your bookmarks.
As your old Bookmark will be HTTP//forums.etc.
Yep, you have to add the s then readd the page to your favorites that way. there is no padlock to click on otherwise.
I have this installed here on the FF browser.

Perspectives is a new approach to help clients securely identify Internet servers in order to avoid "man-in-the-middle" attacks. Perspectives is simple and cheap compared to existing approaches because it automatically builds a robust database of network identities using lightweight network probing by "network notaries" located in multiple vantage points across the Internet.
This is the padlock I was talking about to switch to HTTPS session, no need to alter URL.

Thanks badfrogger.
So engage on any EV site I must click the padlock? Why isnât the connection EV by default?
My IE8 does it by default, I donât have to click the padlock. This page shows the green bar, page 2 does not since I enabled the display of mixed content.
Ahh yes that does work. Very nice .
I believe because this site has both HTTPS and HTTP, if you go to a site that is just HTTPS thatâs that.
They could probably change the default here, donât know how it may affect some guests.
I changed my bookmarks for here and now I get HTTPS by default, through them.

Correct. If the secure page includes http: it wonât show as secured, but otherwise the green will show on a totally secured page (changed to Custom with enable mixed content).

I like it.
