comodo internet security v7 has released three months ago & minor bugs & issues has been resolved with the monthly program updates of comodo v7 series of products but there are some major issues & points on which comodo really needs to make a lot of development & improvement in reality below are some of which:
the web filtering database needs to updated regularly & hourly because currently the web filtering database of comodo is very very negligible & small & it’s not sufficient to block the ever increasing & so large number of malicious & phising websites & bad domains on the internet.
comodo firewall v7 needs to be improved a lot lot more in terms of it’s ability to block sophisticated & latest & new & modern hack & intrusion attempts on each & ever ports, comodo gives updates for antivirus signatures , programs etc. etc. but the firewall is rearly updated & it really needs to be updated in terms of it’s security & protection features not regularly or hourly but at least monthly.
the proper & complete removal capability of any types of threats & malwares & stubborn & complex rootkits & worms & trojans & keyloggers & bots & spywares needs to be improved hugely for the antivirus & antimalware engine of CIS v7 premium & Comodo Antivirus v7 free version’s.
Comodo secure dns 2.0 needs to increase it’s servers to a much much better extent & in more large numbers because still while using comodo dns the internet connections slows down a lot more even on high speed wired broadband internet connections, i am from India (kolkata,west bengal).
dear captainsticks 2 the growth rate of the web filtering database updates of comodo is very very bad currently & it needs to be improved significantly & quickly because bad & malicious & phising websites will not wait for the database updates of comodo to be released & so consodering the proper security issue for the millions of users of CIS premium free version & other comodo products the web filtering database of all comodo v7 based products needs to be updated hourly & regularly
dear dennis 2 the firewall components & firewall security modules & rules of comodo firewall v7 needs to be updated at least monthly to make comodo firewall the most effective software firewall defense against the very latest hack & intrusion attempts & other complex & sophisticated modern network attacks & port scans & port based attacks

The web filtering component of any security software is the umbrella of the security software & the antivirus & antimalware component is the doctor, the dangerous active web page & websites based & drive by threats & malwares can be blocked easily & stopped with the help of a good web filtering component rather than just depending on traditional antivirus & antimalware engine to detect & remove them.
But there also rise one question can the antivirus engine is that much powerful & superior that it will perfectly detect any sorts of threats & malwares & rootkits bla bla bla & will remove it completely without leaving any traces of the malware on any portions of the system be it registry or memory or hard disks or boot sectors , can comodo free antivirus or any free or paid antivirus gives so much gurantee. The answer will be a big no.
So what can comodo do it can really make the web & url filtering & antiphising component & it’s database & signatures so strong that any malicious or dangerous or phising web sites & webpages can be blocked by the web filtering component onaccess before any threats or malwares gets into an user pc & the user have to depend on the antivirus to fight & clean it to the best extent & completely which any traditional antivirus can never do or gurantees to do.
So hope that the respected security experts & programmers & developers of Comodo makes the web filtering component & it’s database so strong that it can be the best & true trust of defense itself which it really can be because a really good web filtering & antiphising component can gurantee 100 percent onaccess blocking of any web based threats & malwares which no traditional antivirus engine never can.
It’s my believe that if Comodo can make a better free firewall than well known paid security softwares then it definitely can make a better free web filtering component compared to the topmost web filtering components of well renowned products like Vipre or Kaspersky or Avast , so hope that Comodo will surely rock in the web filtering department too very soon.

dear wasgij 6 sandbox & web filter are completely different things with different use & applications & one can’t replace the function of another in any way , web filtering serves the purpose of blocking of onaccess dangerous & malicious & phising webpages & any dangerous web sites & active online web based threats & malwares whereas sandbox is a component used for isolation of unknown & suspicious files & programs, you can’t use a knife to fight your opponent who is carrying an AK-47 rifle

Test it against what, imaginary threats that do not exist.
Edit. Just because you do not see actual changes to firewall does not mean there are none, all you need to do is run CIS V3 in Custom Policy/Paranoid Mode then run CIS V7 in the same settings, you will then see the protections have increased by 10fold or more.
dear dennis 2 i am talking about the improvements required in comodo free firewall in terms of overall firewall security protection & in terms of blocking each & every modern & sophisticated hack or intrusion or ping attempts or port scan attempts or any other types of attack attempts on any ports & i am also talking about the necessary security protection & modules updates required for comodo firewall free version at least monthly to improve the overall security & protection level & hence overall quality of the comodo free firewall

The software is improving even as we speak, the lack of infected systems using CIS speaks for itself.
Most software that has continual development from all vendors has some form of community support for recommendations and suggestions, this is nothing out of the ordinary.

Remember the core components of the free version are equal to that of its paid counterparts.

You are focusing way too much on detection based solutions. They can never deliver 100% on access filtering as they are always behind on the facts.
That’s why a prevention layer on the host is so important. CIS provides this in the form of Sandbox, Behaviour Blocker, HIPS and buffer overflow protection. This will stop a breathtaking amount of malware without having AV definitions. If you feel that is not enough protection you can use EMET to further harden your system.
You are using CIS and are not understanding the principles of the protection it brings AT ALL. Also you don’t seem inclined to pick up on the eduction you receive here at the Comodo forums about how CIS does protect. If I add up that with your continuous unproven claims that the network firewall is not safe enough I may want to start to believe you are only here to troll.
