Heads up…
Process Monitor, from SysInternals, is causing problems on some systems. According to the SysInternals forum… BSOD on an XP HE SP2 system and errors & hangs on an XP Pro SP2 system.
When I ran Process Monitor on W2k, the system immediately rebooted. Checking the event log revealed that it was a bugcheck.
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000db (0x80472e2c, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x8046c6b8). Microsoft Windows 2000 [v15.2195]. A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini110706-02.dmp.
There are currently only 3 reported problems (including mine) with Process Monitor.
Good to know. I’ve been playing w/it today and haven’t had any problems so far. XPPro SP2.

OK, i’ve been looking for an Uninstaller that observes what happens during an installation to reverse (uninstall) the application. To be precise, it’s for utilities like GMER, IceSword, Process Explorer, etc. So not exactly installations involved, but programs that execute themselves, and leave files behind when closed. I know i can find out what it did and delete those files, but i’m looking for a pratical, effective and reliable solution. I saw something on the collection here, but you guys don’t exactly recomend it. :THNK
I saw Total Uninstall 2 - Freeware4u.com is for sale | HugeDomains - just now but i’m wondering if any of you have tried it, and if it works.
:■■■■
I tried it, and uninstalled it. Don’t remember exactly why, tho, but I must’ve either had a problem, or didn’t like it in some way. Hmm. I know one monitoring uninstaller kept erroring out on me, but I don’t remember which one, either; Maybe it was that one…
Ewen recommended InstallWatch/InstallRite Here. I’ve used it and found its snapshot logs to be very informative. Worked quite well, I thought.
Maybe that’ll do what you need…

I’ve tried it and found it to work ok.The only thing is the latest version3 is far superior, but is no longer freeware alas (:SAD)
A good free alternative is Zsoft Uninstaller, available from:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/ZSoft-Uninstaller.shtml
I have updated the Free Applications Collection, it now includes the Zsoft Uninstaller.
I’ve been reading about it and i will give it a go! Seems a lot better!
Thanks Andyman35 (:CLP)
