I installed Comodo cmd_fw_installer_138430009_eb.exe on win 7 64 bit because the comodo stopped working.It won’t open This stops all web connectivity, no shortcut will be clickable. It asks if i want to run the agent to repair. I say yes but agent doesn’t run
I have to used the comodo uninstaller. I get message about cmdagent left in registry?

Is there any comodo free firewall only that will work on win 7. Don’t want av or dragon
I ran regedit as admin and deleted cmdagent. I did not see any entry with cmdagent.exe just an empty folder with cmdagent. I rebooted and installed comodo again. . It asks for a restart but before restarting I checked and I had internet acess.
After the restart I got a pop up “Comodo Security Agent could not be started. Would you like to run diagnostic tool to fix this error?”. I clicked yes but the tool did not run.
I had no internet access. Clicking on bookmarks had no effect. Thunderbird,which starts when my computer starts,crashed. Whatever it was seems to be after the Comodo restart. It’s like the firewall is locked at block all but with no diagnostic tool there is no fix

You might need to use version .8012 for Windows 7. Ensure both Service Packs 1 & 2 are installed. There’s an issue with the download site at the moment so you can download a copy here: https://filehippo.com/download_comodo/. though you may still experience signature update error until it’s resolved. If using .8012, ensure you choose options with the installer as the old version came with extra software which you may not want to use as things like Comodo Security Essentials and Dragon are pretty much discontinued now and CISE only worked with Firefox and Explorer.
