Comodo not working together with Symantec Enpoint 12.6.1 on Windows 10 [M1758]

Dear Comodo developer,

thx for this great software. But on Windows 10 Threshold 2 together with Symantec Endpoint 12.6.1 (all versions) it crashes the complete system. When you install Symantec first, you are not able to install Comodo after that. The installation failed. When you install Comodo first and then Symantec, it crashes the whole system and you are forced to install Windows 10 again.

Tested on three different computers and notebooks with Windows 10 Pro. Always the same behaviour.

I am not able to send dump logs or screeshots because as said before the whole system crashes.

Another user reported the same issue here https://forums.comodo.com/install-setup-configuration-help-cis-b137.0/-t112712.0.html

Thank you.

Please use the required format.

Please provide a link to ‘Symantec Enpoint 12.6.1’.
Thank you.

There you go Symantec Enterprise Cloud

Please provide a direct link.

Thanks.

Please explain what you mean by “direct link”? I thought you meant a link to the product site.

Thx.

A link to trial version without completing data.

There is no such option at Symantec. Try this link https://www4.symantec.com/Vrt/offer?a_id=117135. You need only an email adress and a password. You can use a temporary mail adress. That should do the job.

Hey Guys,

Thank you very much for the feedback and bug report, let s create a ticket on bugzilla and our QA will start processing on that asap.

Kind Regards

Can’t replicate. Perhaps installation is not successful due to Auto-Sandbox?

Thanks.

… or I’m using a different version of SEP.

Check PM.

It seems that your version of SEP is working but mine isn’t. I am using 12.1.6608.6300. The other reason could be that you are using the SEP Manager on your computer. I am using only the SEP Client 64 Bit.

Is it possible that you check this with the above mentioned version of SEP and install only the client?

Could you kindly provide mentioned version?
Thanks.

Dear Comodo Developers,

I recently tested CIS 8.2.0.4978 together with the latest version Symantec Endpoint Client 12.1.6860.6400 on various computers and notebooks. I am still having the exact same issues which I already decribed at the beginning of this thread with earlier versions of CIS and SEP.

I have been using both apps for over 8 years now wthout having any issue at all. But since the release of CIS 8.2.0.4792 and later I am not able to use both at the same time anymore. Please help.

Thank you for your support.

Hello,

Again, please provide a direct link to mentioned version.

Thank you.

Quick question: Because I use SEP at work and Comodo on my home PC. Are EITHER of these products certified to work on your new Threshold 2 build of Windows 10. I’m pretty sure they are not from memory…

It would also help the developers if you posted the exact versions of the tools AND your windows version (Use command “winver” on Windows 10 to get the OS build details).

Yes they are certified. I can install and run SEP 12 on every Windows 10 build 1511 and 1607. But as soon as I install Comodo SEP stops working the whole system crashes. As I already wrote on my first comment "When you install Symantec first, you are not able to install Comodo after that. The installation failed. When you install Comodo first and then Symantec, it crashes the whole system and you are forced to install Windows 10 again.

Tested on three different computers and notebooks with Windows 10 Pro. Always the same behaviour."

It is still the same with Windows 10 1607.
