On top of previously released v6474, following is only fix:

  • It solves the “Snoozed Firewall” issue, got introduced in v6474 release, as reported here.

To emphasize again, like previously released v6474, this version also creates QualityCompat key as required by Microsoft Meltdown-Spectre patch KB4056892 upon installation and update. All last Comodo versions are fully compatible with Meltdown-Spectre patch in all operating systems..

[s]We will be releasing latest version 6476 setups to public, released as RC earlier here, after ensuring that Microsoft’s Smart Screen feature no longer finds latest setup unrecognized, as discussed here.

In the mean time, you can use Comodo Update function and update to latest version if you don’t want to wait for auto-update alert.

Installed via Update and all working as it should at this end.


here comes the dumb question: do i have to let cis to restart my computer or is normal reboot enough to allow cis to update itself? got update notification few hrs ago (2nd time today) by cis and now after 2nd restart cis wants to again update itself by rebooting computer (aka 3rd notification inside several hrs).

2nd computer with same win 10 version req only reboot by cis to get 6476-version.

Can you please run Update from interface and then share “View Logs” window snapshot?

this will allow to see what new file you got.

apparently i’m again (4th time) getting 6476-version even i just restarted with cis reboot.

on top of update logs is cmdvirth.exe and then come sets and themes and then cfpconfig.exe and cmdinstall.exe and then more files. no versions mentioned anywhere as far as i see (outside on cis mainpage under about).

and here comes 5th time same f* update and only difference between 2 comps (be3sides os language) is that 2nd has only admin user while 1st has both admin and normal users and cis is installing 6476 5th time after normal user has run update.

normal reboots once maybe twice per month but again with cis update many more.

edit: 6th (update as normal user and restart as admin user) and 7th (update and restart as admin user) didn’t solve anything. well uninstall and clean install will solve it as usual (last un and re was when prev. major release was released).

For blocked applications, the “purge” and “remove” functions no longer work with this version.

Yea clean install solved my problem too besides full install package I downloaded had become corrupted so used online installer which was version 6474 so 1 more reboot was needed than if installer had been 6476.
