Thanks for the release.

Hello team,
I used to always uninstall old version then reinstall last one for years as i had lot of troubles in the past with updates so I stopped completely to update my Firewall to reinstall each time full new build.
But i have to say that with the firewall version 10, the updates always worked without any problem.
And still no problem with this new update 6476.

thanks to all the coders team that work on this free software as there’s no other serious alternative to replace comodo FW, just my personal opinion, no offense to others concurrents.

Hi,

In the events “COMODO Internet Security” I have these errors that occur about every hour.

Error FTP upload, host: tel.security.comodo.com, code: 2eff
Error FTP upload, host: tel.security.comodo.com, code: 2eee
Error FTP upload, host: tel.security.comodo.com, code: 2ee2

Hi Nis,
Team is aware of it and trying to solve it in back-end.

Thanks

Should be fixed now, please report if you see it again.

Thanks Comodo team for such a speedy turn around in fixing the “SNOOZE” issue reported by Windows Security Center. I am impressed with the responsive turn around in fixing this specific issue, shortly followed by this official release. Great job Comodo team! :-TU (CLY)

Hi,

For now it appeared again:

Error FTP upload, host: tel.security.comodo.com, code: 2eff

In an hour I can tell you if another one appears.

Actually it took less time, it appeared again:

Error FTP upload, host: tel.security.comodo.com, code: 2eff

when will cis block cryptoscripts that runs inside websites?

some already do it, like mcafee, symantec, kaspersky, eset and zonealarm…

May be related,

Win 7 SP1 32bits
KB4056897 installed

After updating from CIS 6420 to CIS 6476 via CIS updater, I’ve a lot of problems :

  • My internet connection is dead.

  • When I try to purge the file list :

        - a lot of CIS files are considered not valid namely cmdagent.exe, CIs.exe, cavshell.dll,cmdcomps.dll,
          cmdinstall.exe, cfpconfig.exe and many more,

        - a whole lot of windows/system 32 files,

        - the launchers of all my installed programs.

  • The PC has become excessively slow.

NB : everything was working like a charm with CIS 6420 AND kb4056897 installed

Is it a broadband (PPPoE) connection?

Sounds normal. Older files were replaced.

Older system files were probably replaced when you installed KB4056897
Fixing this flaw implies a decrease in performance…

Thank you lowsolipsism for you reply.

I’ve found the culprit for the lost connection. I’ve a rule for svchost.exe in firewall (set on Custom Ruleset) namely for DNS. During the updating process, CIS change the DNS servers in my NIC which doesn’t match those in the firewall rule. But a new problem occurred! I don’t how the update has done it but now I can’t access the properties of the IPV4 protocol; it’s grey out. So I can’t restore my DNS servers.

As for the slowing down of the PC, it is not due to the Windows update. KB 4056897 was installed (after adding the required reg key) before updating CIS and didn’t have any impact on the performance. That will maybe change after I receive the microcode for my CPU.
The slowdown occurred after updating CIS.

I’ll purge all the files and see if there is some improvement.

BSOD

Hi Nis,
Seems a bit unstable, we will be checking further.

Thanks
-umesh

Thanks we will check.

Running fine and light here with no issues… clean CFW only install here on Win 10 64… I am still on previous Win 10 build.

I installed the Insider 17074, all OK
