:-TU

Werfault.exe is constantly being blocked by HIPS.
File rating is Trusted, it is a MS file.
HIPS is not saying why it is being blocked.
Any suggestions?

May you please share configuration?

???

I can pretty much guarantee it is trying to access one of CIS processes in memory. Are you sure HIPS event logs doesn’t show anything? Make sure you change filter by date and time to (no filtering)

An update certainly didn’t work for me here! Hosts file changed - rebooted, but no update at all, so had to uninstall 6460 and install this 6464

It did the ‘old’ cmdagent not started error a couple of times along with the Diagnostics finding errors it couldn’t repair; but all has settled down and it has decided to play along nicely now

Ok

Installed 6464. Initial feedback/issues:

  1. Comodo Dragon and ISE were installed with the firewall installer even though it was a firewall only install. Uninstalled w/o issue.
  2. After the initial boot, it reported that no security agent could be activated (or something like that). I ran diagnostics, the firewall came up and started fine the next boot cycle.
  3. I’ve done two reboots and no BSOD so far.

Could #2 be caused by having to run the uninstaller in safe mode? I had the same issue as reported in the BSOD in that the uninstaller left the Comodo driver bound to the network device and that had to be unchecked before internet access was restored.

Note: I think my BSOD scenario was actually the one reported by mark davies and not Huolsam. I had the exact same issue uninstalling too.

I updated it using the program updater and it’s working.

I apologize for the slight OT.

Just got this in my PM:

I will make this clear to you, Windows versions require build numbers to ensure a fix. Just saying Windows 10, 1709 for example does not work. I am running Insider builds (build 17063.1000), they too are listed as 1709, but they are not what the general public has running on their machine, and possibly not what you are running either. This has been made clear for the past year.

from a Moderator. Not sure what i did wrong and got that RUDE PM. I was only trying to help, sent all files i was requested by people here. In a totally possitive way.

But rudeness is something i hate.

So, good luck, i can’t participate any more in the beta testing and all.

Hi Pixo1,

I have edited server settings, not HOSTS. Updated normally, everything seems good.

Please update again and you should see v6464 recognizer as well.

Thanks

I have Recognizer 6464 from the install, but no matter what, I don’t show 1.10.0.105 - released now for this Beta?

I’ve changed Hosts file / Set Update Servers, but no luck either way. The same with the release of this Beta. Wasn’t able to update and had to clean install. Nothing’s changed on this system that would effect these settings

Anyone else with the same problem?
I could not produce.

Ok :-TU

Does not reproduce here. I updated using the program updater on Win 10 17063.

Ploget, how did you install this version? Using the program updater or did you use an installer?

Proactive, default settings for this configuration
