COMODO Internet Security CIS 4.0.138377.779 Released !

I have the same issue.

Cmdagent.exe is a signed application. That makes it a shortcoming of Process Explorer.

Oh My Lord”, that’s true, the sandbox folder is now “VritualRoot” :o

But I’m still loving Comodo

It’s a typo that will become unique to CIS as an integral part of it’s system.

is the issue of no network intrusion count and firewall doesn’t filter any network traffic fixed in this release?

Hi Melih. No problem.

So far, All Rogues not detected have been handled properly. However, a user has reported, with this release, A similar issue: https://forums.comodo.com/news-announcements-feedback-cis/rogue-bypass-the-last-release-of-the-av-t54126.0.html

I posted my input in that thread. Egemen - Please take a look? I asked the OP to send the Rogue to you Melih.

Tooby

This is new (.779). PE could verify previous versions of cmdagent.exe, and also show version (I think) and description. :-\

I really tend to doubt the issue is with Process Explorer.

I tend to agree. Attached is the properties of cmdagent.exe for my XP x64 system and it does verify. Enjoy, John.

a no go here on W7/64: impossible to login following the first reboot after the install. had to go to safe mode and run sys restore, as CIS doesn’t let itself get uninstalled when related services don’t run 88)

edit: I suspect (just suspect…) the automatic sandboxing of unrecognized software to be the culprit… and there’s unfortunately no way to tell, at setup time, that you want the sandbox off when the program runs.

It sounds like a hassle but you could set Sandbox to disabled while being in Safe Mode. You can just start the GUI and set stuff the way you like it.
And the uninstall issue is caused by .MSI installers as far as I know the previous v3.x could be uninstalled from Safe Mode.

that’s right, 3.x could be uninstalled in safe mode, and stupidly, I didn’t even attempt to launch CIS GUI in safe mode because I’m used to Avast 5 that has an interface that cannot be launched in safe mode… stupid analogy, my bad 88) thanks for your feedback

Surely there is a better way to keep it unique than to use something that looks like an obvious typo? ???

You might want to rethink this as it’s going to be continually questioned…

I think he didnt mean to say it was not a typo.
I think he was been sarcastic.

Avoiding the bullet in a funny way.

It’s only confusing because we’re used to Egemen being always serious.

I just updated to CIS 4.0.138377.779 but could not find “My Network Zones” under the “Firewall” tab. I did a reinstall, still not there, looked in the help files, no hint at it at all. Has it been moved somewhere else or has it been removed completely? I miss the list of “My Network Zones” when troubleshooting my network!
Hope this is the right forum and someone can help - THANKS

It’s part of the Tabbed Network Security Policy under Firewall, Advanced.

Hi

How can I update V3 to V4 without Exe file?

Have a nice day.

Thanks to the developers for good job (V)
