Any new CIS version to be released soon?

I am planning to install CIS suite on one of my laptop but if any new version i.e update/upgrade/fixes & improvements, etc… is coming soon then I would like to wait.

And installer + databases size is whopping app 500 MB. Anything being done to reduce the huge size?

Hello yessnooo,

We will have a hotfix release for Windows10 purpose by July. With this release we aim to fix some of the important bugs as well. :-TU

Regarding the installer size, I m happy to say that we are working on the web installers and with the next major version we will have them.

Why wait to release important bug fixes?
Instead of releasing important bug fixes as soon as possible, you want to wait?
Why you guys always wait for an update/upgrade, etc… to release bug fixes instead of releasing it quickly?

First identifying the underlying issue for the bug, then fixing the bug, then testing the fix, then testing to make sure it didn’t cause any other bugs. Properly fixing and testing a bug may take time. Besides that they may want to group them together to release one update that fixes a lot rather than many few updates that fixes one bug each, one would assume that it’s easier managed that way and to be fair I don’t think most users would like to update their security system (and probably need to reboot) once every few days.

Personally I would like more frequent updates when it comes to bugs.

Will we also get separate installers for 32 and 64 bits systems? I am not interested in web installers as I always keep local copies of programs I install.

Done. Speaking of the Proactive config, I think changing the advanced settings of the firewall to have all the options selected (Enable IPv6 filtering, Block fragmented IP traffic, Do protocl analysis, and Enable anti-arp spoofing) when switching to proactive configuration and maybe upping the alert frequency from low to medium.
