I’ve been using Comodo for almost 3 years and over that time I’ve installed dozens of different versions of the Firewall and Defense+ without problems that is until today when although I thought I checked all of the right boxes in the v5.9 installer to exclude installing the Antivirus module…
the v5.9 installer went ahead and included the Antivirus anyway…
I made a second attempt to exclude the Antivirus from the installation by making sure I made what I thought were the right choices in checking only the Firewall box, but for the first time since I’ve been using Comodo I’m still stuck with the Antivirus being installed.
Is there a way to remove the Antivirus module with any more recent method than these 2006 instructions or should I just re-image my computer back to the v5.8 Firewall and Defense+ Only installation and hope that a version of the Comodo v5.9 installer with a truly effective Firewall and Defense+ Only option is released as once was available from Comodo…
