Its enabled when you switch to proacrtive mode or enable it explicitly from Defense+ Settings.
For 32 bit systems, it will NOT make any difference but it can be used for debugging incompatibility issues.
For 64 bit systems, it makes difference for some operations such as windows hooks, window messages etc.
SO its enabled on proactive mode for both 32 & 64 Bits by default, right?

Yes.
There is the compatibility angle of it in 32 bit systems. Multiple security products using the same methods can prevent one another cuasing lowered security. For 32 bit systems, enhanced mode may overcome these difficulties.
Can someone help me?

TY comodo team :)))
I recommend starting a new topic on this issue on the CIS Bug Reports board. This isn’t the right place (CIS release topic) and the issue is getting lost/buried here.
So enabling that won’t harm the rest of security s/w? Still no speed/protection results? Does it have sense to keep it enabled on x32 OS? This IRP processing outside the stack has its meanings and proves oneself?
Can you guyz plzz look in my post posted in news/announcement CIS, WTF AV Database, serious prob here?
Thanxx

Sorry for posting here.
Edit by EricJH: I merged your topic with an existing one. Your topic starts here.
Add it in the d+ exclusion (d+ → d+ settings → execution → exlusions → add → running process. ) Tell me if that does the trick; there is a way to grant this program the needed access but that’s not good.
There is still a bug in this version I have reported many times over the years, other people have verified it, but it has not been fixed.
The file groups for temporary files and started folders contain entries for the user who installs CIS but no other users. Other users will not be protected.
I guess people do not notice this but it would be nice if it was fixed or a reason given for not fixing.
I have put this message here rather than the bugs section as it always gets ignored in the bugs section.
So whats the best way to uninstall an old version to do a clean install of the latest? I’m thinking to use Revo Uninstaller, and delete everything it find, then after that run the Uninstaller Tool from this post Comodo Forum then reboot, start new install. That sound about right?
It would close out allready many people if it would require revo uninstaller to uninstall comodo propperly. If it would additional need also another programm too, only a part of 1% of the users would have a good installed new version
But when a version 5.5 can upgrade?
Thanks for goodwill [Valentin N]. I will follow your instructions, and if the solution gives results, I return with my answer on this forum that other users with the same problem to follow your instructions. Thanks
There should be no need to use Revo or other uninstallers, unless your uninstall failed before it should have finished.
The current releases of CIS 5.x have a ‘clean-up’ tool onboard that cleans up after uninstall+reboot.
So if you uninstall, reboot and install the new version you should be good to go.
If your coming from 3.x/4.x or you could use Revo or others but I doubt they find may useful things you’d wish to delete.
Hello, unfortunately the solution does not work. Instead, I noticed something strange when the ETDctrl.exe is 50% wear, if you open the main window of Comodo Internet Security, ETDctrl.exe process decreases sharply from 50% to 0%, but once is closed the main window the problem is back after a while. It becomes a frustrating problem. Wait for another solution. If other solutions are not, then the problem should be revised Personnel from Comodo and be resolved with the next update. Thanks
Thanks a lot for new release!!
