Thanks rambo.
And it updates every 1/2 hour-----Brilliant
Version 4 must be fantastic
I would like to try this beta, but I wanted clarify one item.
Is it ok to import my Defense+ and firewall rules from the current released version (3.8.65951.477), or should I have the beta version re-learn everything?
Thanks for your help.

DO NOT import your settings from .477! If you want to try this beta, you’ll have to retrain it. You can wait until the final release and just update to the 3.9 final if you don’t want to go through the retraining. Also, keep in mind, if you don’t follow through and update the betas through to the final 3.9, you won’t be able to import the beta configurations into the 3.9 final. The registry settings for the CAV database are stored in the config file and that’s what changes with different versions. I wish the devs would divorce the CAV database registry settings from being stored in the config file, this would save a lot of trouble!
Thanks for your quick response. I agree that they should store the CAV settings in a different location. I have not been using the AV portion (although I may want to in the future). I just installed the firewall and D+ in .477.
Does Beta .491 offer the same options for installation?
Dave
Basically the same options, SafeSurf, CAV or CFP or both, Ask.com homepage change, join Threatcast Community, and free trial of LivePCSupport (new addition to the installer).
I wonder if I don’t install CAV if there would be any problem with importing my configuration settings. The only reason that I am considering the beta right now is the reported reduction in pop-ups and improved protection in D+. When the AV portion evolves a little more, I may add that in place of Avira.
Dave
If you don’t have CAV installed now, you might be OK to import your settings. Give it a try. If it doesn’t work out, you can always go back to .477! Frankly, I feel pretty secure with CAV. You may want to try it as well.
Thanks for all of your help. I really appreciate it. Maybe I will give CAV a shot. That would allow me to give feedback on the whole package.
Dave ;D
Thanks a lot egeman. Can you tel us how to do this?
Also if you can answer:
-
Why the clipbaord logger interception alert is same as keyboard access alert. They must be clearly different IMO.
-
is this intercepted now?

Thanks
If I may… yes, it is (successfully) intercepted.

Will CIS 3.9 beta automatically update to 3.9 final when it’s released or will we have to uninstall it and install final version again from scratch?
I love comodo, I’m running windows 7 version 7077 (newest version) and it works perfectly even the anti-virus works now.
At least it works for me :ilovecomodo:
good job developers ![]()
Yes of course. First pop-up was my first capture. Then, when I block the request I get a second pop-up with the “modify the user interface” orange pop-up. Anyway, you can see both here with iexplorer 8 as the “victim”.
I have made more testing and, it seems even if you allow the red “access in memory” pop-up and then block the “modify interface” one, project1.exe is succesfully blocked to do its hiding window thing.
Windows Vista Home Premium 32 here.
Hope this helps.

I guess ver 491 is buggy, however on my pc it runs perfectly :), 3.8 beta was a horror but this version… ^_^.
So propably soon we will get another beta, and there will be also RC?
I don’t think this can be done. But even if it could, it is highly not recommended because of the problems it could cause in the future.
(Like it did with the 3.5 BETA).
Ram usage appears only a few meg on avg more than 3.8, but it seems like virtual memory usage is way up, 400meg on my PC. Anyone else notice this?
Like always (no matter if it’s beta or stable) CIS works flawless here on Vista64 with everything enabled/checked.
Same here. AV seems like it is back to work again ![]()
My only criticism is that it still slows down defragging, even if AV is set to stateful.
Perfect Disk takes ages (~60 minutes) just to analyze the drive (and this is already the 3rd attempt, running for testing purposes), a job it completed in minutes before when I ran avast (due to the right click scan bug in CIS).
Shall I file this as a bug?
