We have just released 3.9.73525.491 BETA. We would like to make sure that our latest changes shown in the releases notes will not cause any problems for our users. We would like to thank all who attends BETA testing for the cooperation and the support.

What is new in this 3.9.73525.491 BETA?

NEW! Multilingual Support: CIS now supports other languages
NEW! Stateful File Inspection for Realtime Virus Scanner
NEW! Integrated In Memory Virus Scanner(i.e. Integrated BOClean)
NEW! LivePCSupport is provided as a 30 Day Trial
IMPROVED! Default popup layout changed to the basic layout in order to encourage the use of it
IMPROVED! Stronger Defense+ protection: New types of defenses are added e.g. Clipboard logging, Keyboard input blocking etc.
IMPROVED! Keyboard and Screen access alerts are improved and number of false positives are reduced
IMPROVED! Stronger Defense+ protection while the Windows is Booting/Shutting down
IMPROVED! Stronger Default Firewall policy in order to better hide from attackers(Thanks to feedback from our forum moderator Ronny)
IMPROVED! Configuration Management window is changed
IMPROVED! Submission functionality for the Quarantined items added
FIXED! Defense+ BO protection incompatible with SpySwepper virus scanner.
FIXED! CIS blocks some application from being executed
FIXED! CIS does not detect some types of shellcodes upon a BO atack
FIXED! CIS errorneously reports BO attacks for some applications under certain circumstances
FIXED! CIS does not scan specially crafted RAR files(vulnerability reported by Thierry Zoller)
FIXED! CIS creates duplicate file name entries for some protected file access alerts
FIXED! Right click scanner reports “Antivirus Engine is not initialized”
FIXED! Threatcast registration does not work properly(This bug caused some users unable to see TC statistics)
FIXED! CIS occasionally crashes while submitting the files
FIXED! CIS firewall drivers sometimes can not be restored by the diagnostics utility
FIXED! CIS did not scan NTFS streams during manual scanning

Known Issues

  • Translation process is not complete yet.

This is a BETA release. It is intended for testing and must NOT be used in any production environment.

Updates to CIS V489 have been released. Update will be done in two steps:

  1. First updater itself be updated and version will stay as V489
  2. Again you need to run updater and it will update to V491

Yes, we plan to issue the updates shortly too.

Yes.

The only difference from buils 489 is X64 version changes and some fixed typos, texts etc.

Nope not yet. It is planned for the future releases of 4.x.

I have a question about memory usage in 3.9. I installed beta on Vista x32, and I have different readings, sometimes CIS (in idle) uses about 9 mb of ram, other time about 3 mb. This is weird, but considering fact BOClean is integrated…it is extremely light :slight_smile:

Thanks running smooth all but Defense+, just can’t get the hang of it, I set it to learn for about a week and try safe mode and parental control but it just kept me from downloading some programs, refuse to let some run, the same popups, just a headache but Av and firewall just great, keep up the good work

It seems faster here on 32 bits Win 7 on first sight. Both starting apps in Windows as well as surfing. I have to be careful with the latter as I share my connection. I can only be sure after a couple of days with this.

I must admit that this is the most quiet release so far!
Good job!

About 4 popups is what I have experienced… =) (chose block all for those 4 apps…)’

EDIT: I think if CIS continue like this… Then I doubt we will have any more of those review’s that says CIS is a popup nightmare. Good job and keep improving!

I Like this release very very much! =) (ofc Less popups can’t mean less security… at least in my mind that would be a failure, but the new simplified popups with the option to simple and fast go advanced is awesome!)

Maybe you were not connected to the internet during install, or you didn’t select the TC option during install.

im always connected and i did say yes to threatcast,ill try uninstall and reinstall see if that works,its not that its not working but its not even there :slight_smile:
