COMODO Internet Security 2025 Premium Certificate is Revoked, what should we do?

So I understand that it is the same thing as having nothing, in short, no solution. :sleepy:

How is that even comparable? That issue lasted about 10 HOURS.

It makes more sense when you read more than the first sentence.

I thought the same thing as you, this one had a much faster solution.
What we are going through is incomparable, the delay has already been more than a month. :expressionless:

Because I was in between installs, still running CIS .8012 (release topic) without issue here. It’ll eventually get fixed and people are still protected even with the old version.

It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense and they won’t explain what the delay is. Even if they’re working on a new version with bug fixes, they should still release a re-signed installer of the current version if for no other reason than it should be an option for someone to install if the next release has regressions. Doing that should take no time at all because it requires almost no work.

Hello Prodex!

What configuration do you have? Windows 10 or 11? Pro or normal?

12.3.3.8140 Premium in Windows 11 (23H2 22631.4317)

The basic configuration is based on cruelsister’s suggestion, slightly modified.
I also uninstall with Revo Uninstaller (if it should ever be necessary), still look for any leftovers (safe mode). But that happens less than ever because everything works for me. I have various configurations, it wouldn’t be helpful to show them here now. If I ever want to install a program, I might use one of those from comodo (comodo - xxxxxxx) so that the installation works.
I have been using comodo for ages without any problems. For me, without any problems means that the PC was always protected with comodo: no worms, no rootkit, no ransomware - nothing at all.

only new installations are affected, …
existing installations, no problem…

I see. I did read it all, just not properly understood what you meant. I thought the installer would get fix automatically once the certificate issue was fixed, but I suppose not.

Thank you Prodex for your reply.
Personally, I was using Windows 10 Pro and the latest version of Comodo CIS Pro 2025.
The certificate problem crashed CIS for me.
I’d be tempted to reinstall an older version, or even beta 2024, but to validate the licence you have to scan all the hard disks, which means I’ll have to do it several times if it fails…
Maybe I’ll try a virtualised version if I have time…

From what was said here on the forum, the certificate would be corrected and this correction would come through automatic updates of CIS 2025, where it would only be necessary to restart the computer to return to normal.
Even for people who want to install CIS from scratch, for new users, a new installer will be released for download.
What would be ideal is that with this correction to the certificate it would already have all the corrections that were mentioned in some of the forum topics.

Is there anything more clarity about the problem with the certificates? I have installed CIS version 12.3.3.8140. Still the problem with the certificate is there. Do I have to remove the program myself and then reinstall it? Or will there be an update via CIS itself?
There is almost no communication from Comodo. We are not really kept informed by Comodo. I think that could be better.

Their website is still serving up the version with the revoked certificate. You can only go back to an older version with a valid certificate. You can still find download links to the previous version in the forum. Supposedly the team is working on a new version, but who knows.

christmas is coming!! And after that easter :kissing_closed_eyes:

It’s worth waiting for a security system as good as Comodo.
