I like Comodo because it doesn’t decide for me and doesn’t block pages and download files based on their reputation.
Instead, it analyzes and classifies them in real time while running, and even then the pros can decide whether to accept the result or not.
I hope its developers continue to follow this well-trodden path and not listen to laymen.
Therefore any kind of Website Filtering isn’t needed at all and is only a redundant gadget.
True, mostly built into browsers these days like SmartScreen and Google Safe Browsing. Decent phishing extensions are worth it namely the likes of Netcraft but wherever the malware comes from Comodo will catch it.
You didn’t know anything about cybersecurity that’s your self problem only.
With the right tools you can change the game! Just like CIS changed the game on ransomware and malware!
S’il vous plaît, parlons technologie, ou Comodo, mais n’attaquons pas les gens directement :pray :
Cela n’apporte rien à l’évolution de Comodo CIS beta
If they make another “Back to the Future” movie, I hope you’ll consider sponsoring it with the “Comodo” logo on Marty’s skateboard!

But I think you’d rather sponsor the next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles backpack! ![]()
Uninstalled Final Beta as done what testing I can with it for the moment and also to check for ruminants.
There was still a Installer Startup Entry under:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
And there were two drivers still in the driver repository (C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository)
I found them listed when using CMD (run as administrator): Dism /online /Get-Drivers /Format:Table
It was just a case of manually removing them by entering the below and replacing the XX with the driver number :
pnputil /delete-driver oemXX.inf /uninstall /force
You then just need to restart.
Otherwise all went fine and ran smoothly. Looking forward to stable release.
I cannot understand why Comodo partly fixed this unimportant uninstall non-issue which has been reported only shortly while other bugs are waiting to be fixed for many years…
They at least fixed the Event Log Entry and the others aren’t a big deal but release notes state:
" * Fixed an issue with incomplete removal of CIS during uninstallation."
So a partial fix at my end though it’s not after every installation. I’ll have to test it out and see if it happens again when I get time.
why dont you report bugs to support@xcitium.com they will look into all bugs and fix them
Maybe because Xcitium is selling and supporting corporate solutions?
Has Xcitium completely acquired Comodo just like Norton acquired Avast & AVG & Avira
Not acquired. Comodo has been (partly) rebranded to Xcitium.
Xcitium is corporate part and Comodo still consumer part.
Ok got it, thanks for the clarification.
but Comodo 2024 is developed by Xcitium so report bugs to support@xcitium.com and they will fix the bugs
Hello All,
Happy Sunday to everyone. Decided to tell everyone the real reason I started using Comodo since 2007. Those were the times when there was high usage of torrents, so many unknown domains/websites, there was Comodo v3/v4 at that point of time if I can remember probably, I was a very passionate tester of various malicious samples, antivirus products, firewalls during those times. I tested Comodo firewall the v3/v4 versions during those days and it blocked almost 99.99 percent network intrusions/attacks those days including the most complex form of network attacks and intrusion attempts coming from various nasty Tor & Torrent networks in the internet, the other firewalls that achieved 85 percentage protections were Outpost and Norton firewall and Sygate , Comodo firewall has more advanced configuration options available during those times and it was way way better compared to some of the biggest names in modern times like Bitdefender, Kaspersky, Eset. So hope to see my favorite Comodo and all our favorite Comodo makes a super strong comeback again way ahead of others in all aspects in the final stable release of 2024. Keeping all the high hopes and best wishes for the entire Comodo development team and all of it’s users.
Xcitium Transparency Page - Historical Statistics How about this?
Got it Sir, the firewall component of Comodo in CIS v3/v4 was too good , it used to block any and every network intrusion attempts always even in the most complex scenarios, wish to see similar things happening again on the 2024 stable release version and future ahead. Also would like to see all other components and protection modules coming in there most advanced and powerful versions and shapes, thanks.
