Yes, CISfan. My mistake… After installation, please make sure your computer restart and has updated database( easily you can click scan to do that, or also you can click the update button)

Checked right away, a separate one also doesn’t work.
As an aside to all this…
Is Shane still the product manager for CIS? He’s not answering messages?
Have you taken over, from him, Hilal?
The silence from Comodo staff these days is pretty overwhelming.
Mike
Which install components do come exactly with the offline CIS premium V12.2.2.7036 installer as given in the first post?
If I remember correctly during installation I only saw the Antivirus and Firewall component.
Are Dragon and Secure shopping component only included in the paid version of CIS premium?
That I’m not sure of, but even with the Comodo Uninstaller / Cleanup, they should still be on your system and recognized by CIS
Please recall that I installed the offline installer on a clean system on which V12.x was never installed before. So there are no possible left-overs from a previous V12.x install. That’s the reason why I was asking what components are included in the offline installer.
I installed the Firewall component but not the Antivirus component. And as far as I remember I couldn’t choose any other component to install.
I was answering your first query as to whether they were included in the paid version or not. They weren’t an option in this release for some reason . . .
I’d download them separately if I were you. Dragon is easy to find and the link to CSS is: Download
Thank you for the explanation.
I guess then the options do return in the upcoming release(s)?
The “Comodo_Internet Security_v.12.0_Installation_Guide.pdf” ( link: CIS Premium – Installation, Best Internet Security, Comodo Internet Security Setup ) on page 6 does show all these options, it is a bit confusing to the user when the options are in the manual but not in the installer.
I will have a look at the seperate download links, thanks for that.
The download link for the Online Install also includes both CSS and Dragon. Just the Offline doesn’t for some reason!
That is eternal problem with manuals; they are not necessarily up to date.
ISE and Dragon are not available in the offline installer as it gets published these days.
Ploget beat me to it. 8)
That’s a clear statement, I get it.
In the meantime I also checked the 6882 offline installer (long live containment :)) for the install options also there only FW and AV component.
Issue solved.
Thanks a lot.
You can run the Online Installer and it will perform an Upgrade that gives the Options of CSS and Dragon. It doesn’t change any of your current settings or Config etc. . . .just requires a reboot at the end
Ah, that I didn’t know. That saves the hassle of downloading and installing it.
Btw, I guess the green Upgrade button (lower right corner) isn’t meant for this, or?
No - that’ll take you to buy the Pro version. You can turn that button off in the Advanced Settings > User Interface
Thanks, I turned the button off.
It looks better now ![]()
As someone here who has moved to only using the offline installer for each new version released I can tell you that the only components offered with the offline installer are: AntiVirus and Firewall. There are no other modules, browsers or anything else included to install. This is the best version in my opinion.
Yup, since it was installed with the RC I opted to manually uninstall ISE along with uninstalling the RC CIS.
I also ran the Comodo removal tool.
I then used the online installer to install 7036.
Hello MikeDiack,
Still now Shane is our PM for CIS and also he’s handling some other projects too…
Hope you will get my point,Have a nice day!
Kind Regards,
PD
Excellent, thanks!
At some point will 6882 auto-update to 7036 without having to uninstall?
