Well, it’s not true, cause M$ still support Win7, for 3 years, for paying customers though.
7036 RC (from 6882) is totally fine on my Win7, no delays, on the contrary, 6882, clean installed, had nasty freezes, that’s why I decided to go for RC for now, till Comodo team fixes that weird policy requirement for Win7 on stable CIS 7036 install.
FWIW, MS released a new version of Win 7 from August 2018 with the added telemetry of Win 10.
With 7036 RC, I went with just the FW component. But since I have been interacting with Windows Defender, I have grown tired of the poor UI. Today I went through control panel→programs and features→uninstall or change a program→Comodo→change, to add the AV component. No problems with Comodo and Win security center integration. Windows 10 1909 18363.778. ~1 month old format and reinstall. I had been running Win 10 since 2015 and the PC had slowed down considerably. I download a Windows 1909 ISO through official channel and installed it from a DVD. It was worth the effort after almost 5 years to have a PC that feels new again. Just back up what you want to keep. No regrets here. In my case, I had no issues with Comodo before reformatting and of course, none now. Anyone having run Win 10 for any length of time would benefit from a refresh, outside of just getting Comodo to run right.

I have read all the comments. I will try to give you answers as much as I can. If any lack of information, what I have not mentioned, and what I cannot express properly, sorry for that.
- I tried the online installer on many different operating systems/platforms, it worked on all of them. Please try one more time.
- Good to know that we did our job right. Because RC is released just before the public release and it is released as GA without adding anything.
- We tried overinstall for many old versions and we succeeded. It supports only binary update since it is only a special case of 6914 version. For 6882 and others, please try overinstall one more time.
- Virtual desktop works without any problems, what exactly is the problem, could you please give us some more details?
- Lots of bugs already fixed, we will put many more fixes in the next version very soon.
- I have never had a problem with importing configuration in the CIS between two versions.
- ISE should be able to be installed. There must be something wrong.
- Even if Windows does not support Win7, we continue to support it.

Can you please clarify more precisely what you mean with “For 6882 and others, please try overinstall one more time.”.
Do you mean to uninstall 6882 completely and then do a fresh install of 7036 or do you mean to upgrade 6882 by installing 7036 over it twice?

We can support the overinstall procedure from the older versions to the newest one.
I personally tested these:
Install the 6818 version, make a green state of CIS after rebooting PC. Run the 7036 installers manually. Overinstall successful.
Install the 6870 version, make a green state of CIS after rebooting PC. Run the 7036 installers manually. Overinstall successful.
Install the 6882 version, make a green state of CIS after rebooting PC. Run the 7036 installers manually. Overinstall successful.

Do you mean the tray icon is not visible? It’s a known bug. If you mouse over where the icon should be and click right you will get the menu. I always close the application and restart it. Then the icon is back until I close down or reboot the computer.
I haven’t tried, and it’s certainly not the best solution, but perhaps a temporary solution: downloading css separatly:

Your contributions were off topic because you reported about 6882 in a topic about 7036 and your posts pulled the topic off its track.
Your way of thinking is meandering not starting from a proper and thorough understanding of CIS nor do you take notice of more knowledgeable users who are educating you. In that process of not properly understanding you post negative conclusions about the build quality of CIS and present them as facts giving CIS an negative exposure that is not rooted in a thorough understanding of CIS.
In short your; posting have been disruptive and overshadowed other posts hence why I split and moved them to another playground.
