I believe 6882 was the last one

Hmmm, no, I don’t think so… I scoured the forum for posts and there’s a bunch still running 6818 after 7036 was released, so I think it must be that…

Maybe I’ll keep using 7036 to help with bugfixing. Maybe it’ll even be stable, after I used the clean up tool to uninstall. Who knows…
Installing a version that is over a year old seems to be a bad solution to my problem. Or maybe I’ll give 6882 a try.

Anyway, thanks again. I’ll see where 7036 takes me from here, and when it happens again I’ll make a report and try one of the others.

Myself and plenty of other members are running 7036 on Win10 2004 w/o any problems, so if you do have any issues, get back to us

BTW, an update.

Been using 7036 still since this post and there have been no issues. The issues I was having were not related to Comodo. Most likely the culprit was Windows 10 itself, ended up disabling a few services and hasn’t had a crash since, which is funny cause I’m using Win 10 LTSC and Microsoft still managed to find a way to f*ck things up for me after a minor update.

Anyway, 7036 running fine since May 14 for me. Yay. :stuck_out_tongue:

yeah guys… this 7036 is running good on my win 10 2004 pro x64.

the only issue is the freaking desapearing icon… now it never appears again… but i dont care much about it as the icon is there, invisible, hidden like an ninja…

This is interesting. Couple months back I, too, installed my first VPN - PIA - with CFW (FW/HIPS only) installed. However, I can’t say I encountered any issues. Will keep in mind.

Is there no one who can help with this? I can’t imagine I’m the only one who logs into outlook.live.com through Chrome launched from the widget?!?! Unless, others do, but don’t experience this problem?

  1. This is not the place to ask for help or report issues you should create your own topic in the corresponding CIS board.
  2. You having all those other 3rd-party security software installed is probably the reason you are having the issue. Why does no one understand that using multiple 3rd-party security software will cause more problems and system instability.

Thanks for the reply futuretech.

Re: 1. OK, I’ll do that. I just assumed that it was relevant to this topic because the release notes indicated that 7036 fixed an issue with Chrome crashing in containment.

Re: 2. Please keep in mind that this issue only occurs with Chrome launched in containment. Hence, I don’t believe that it is related to the other security software I am running. Plus, I have not experienced any other issues with these layers of security.

why comodo don’t replace windows firewall? i continue receive permission requests from him. Windows 8.1 x64

Hi, on my laptop I used to have problems with earlier versions of CIS v12. I started to use this release few weeks back and sadly the issues are back, so let me describe.
My laptop is win10 64bit (still 1909), with nvidia optimus graphics. I will provide full specs if needed.
in CIS I use firewall, antivirus and virusscope. Auto-sandbox, HIPS and webfilter are turned off.

Once a day my laptop freezes for 5-10 minutes. It is not completely frozen and sometimes I can continue work in firefox or some other software, but windows systray, start menu is frozen. Over time more and more programs freeze. It is not even possible to gracely restart, as some process is stuck and system won’t restart. After say 10 minutes it returns to normal. No harm done to the system (I just need to refrain from clicking frantically and pressing all possible keys when it’s stuck). So no harm done, but it is rather annoying.
This happens every 1-2 days.
There is no CPU spike or anything, cpu usage seems low.

Previously when I had this issues, I had a hunch it might be due CIS, so I removed it and returned to the built-in Microsoft antivirus. Problem solved.
This CIS version have in changelog that issues with freezin on 1903 and 1909 were frozen. Not sure if those were different symptoms, or similar to mine.

I can share any report if needed or produce some debug log or whatever, providing someone sends me a guidance. Im a CIS fan, but this is rather annoying and over time will force me to use some other product. :frowning:

thx

The same problem I had to do with. I played back backups w/o any success, but I didn’t assume it has to do with comodo because I have had no problems before. I gave up the hope to find the problem.

The only solution for me was to install Windows again and now no more problems. This was less stressful than to spent hours and hours or days trying to solve the problem. Now Windows 2004.Everything runs fine again.

Hello,
Are you planning to improve cloud analysis in the new version?
It is very important.

Having multiple security solutions running at the same time may (sometimes) cause unexpected issues. To know if it is a compatibility issue between various programs it is best to install all but CIS and do the necessary reboots. Then reset the CIS container.

After resetting see if the problem still happens. If it does not happen then install another other programs one at a time and see what happens. That way we will be able to find the program causing the compatibility issue.

Hello megaherz33,
Are you talking about which part of CA improvement ?Please let me know the details?

Hello Dharshu,
An unknown CIS file falls into unidentified ones and verification takes a very long time. It is necessary to speed up the process, this will be a big plus.
