Comodo Internet Security 2019 v12.1.0.6914 Released.

Being an early adopter is one thing; but this is pure and simple testing on a crippled product…
A new release ought to give some new assets… (a changelog will be fine, please!)
Some real info would be nice, but Comodo is silent as can be. As always…
I reimaged my pc two weeks back, and get on with the normal computing.
Internet security is just too important.

Literally every version after 11 0 0 6802 randomly freezes/hangs my pc. (Windows 7, 64)

Edit:

Similarly.

Now suddenly I get the crash statistics report screen.
How do you definitively disable this useless screen?

Thanks!

So, I have now received the Udate 1903. First update attempt crashed at 91%: PC error, PC must be restarted.
Comodo deactivated, also over msconfig. windefender enabled, the update was successful. Comodo prevented the update.
Windowsdefender and -firewall disabled, well comodo re-enabled, - everything is now running smoothly. :-TU

Hi NDABBRU, Bob.Dig & Shoonay,

Thank you for reporting. Which version of windows are you using.
We have tested it, its working as expected. Could you please share the screenshots.

Hi all - Works for me - details follow:

Interestingly, it’s working fine for me on Windows 10 x64 18363.446. I did an upgrade over 12.0.6882, using the updated version of the installer that Shane mentioned a day or two after the initial release (which apparently fixed some digital signature issues, which caused hangs for some people).

Have others got the newer installer: cispremium_installer_138430008_dd.exe
Which was digitally signed on 21 Oct?

Could that be the issue for those having crashes? Are they using the re-released installer?

The installer that worked for me, shows the following (running sysinternals sigcheck -h on it):

C:\downloads\cispremium_installer_138430008_dd.exe:

Now I can no longer deactivate the components because when you deactivate the confirmation screen with the minutes of deactivation appears for a second and then disappears and you have no time to click OK. I can’t take the screenshot.

Hi NDABBRU,

Thank you for reporting, kindly check your Inbox for private message and perform the action mentioned.

I have the same problem on Windows 7 x64 SP1
In addition, the problem I reported was not fixed
https://forums.comodo.com/bug-reports-cis/problem-with-cis-quarantine-options-t124749.0.html

So why doesn’t my system do the automatic update? I am still on 12.0.0.6818.

Sorry - I can’t confirm any of those behaviors after several attempts and reboots

What I have found - 2nd occurrence since release is that after a few days absence, on startup; I get a black box with ‘Scanning Error’. after waiting a few minutes it continues to the same box with ‘Error Scanning for Drives’ and then after a few seconds it disappears

No idea why, as scanning on startup is disabled, unless the way my Network is set has changed something - although that hasn’t been altered?
Edit: Narrowed the Scan Error down to Diskeeper starting, which wouldn’t appear to have anything to do with CIS at all

great software keep it up inspire yourself to built the best security of all      :), cheering up  :), cyber hawk and comodo firewall the best weapon of computer security. I am back to 6882. I did a clean install yesterday importing my exported configuration from 6882. My system started to slow and freeze. Programs would not start and the initial AV update stalled. I rebooted and the AV update turned out to have been successful but the freezing was there. I tried to restart but the system was not responding (or would have taken minutes to respond).

I decided to reset the pc and boot into safe mode and removed CIS with the clean up tool. I am now using 6882 again and all is stable. I am on Win 10 x64 1809 (17763.805).

Thank you Erich for this info, I’ll wait before migrating
Windows 10 19H1 - CIS 6882

I don’t have any of those problems. Everything is going well. Windows 10 x64 1903 (18362.418). New Windows updates are running, as well as the installations of software or drivers, the PC is running fast and round. So far everything is fine. All I can say is, what a great program.

Hi blade120,

Thank you for reporting again.
our developers are checking this, once resolved let me tell you.

Thanks,

Hi,

Installed again CIS 12.1.0. 6914 and rebooted the PC. I entered the PIN code, the balls spun in a circle, waited 15 minutes, but could not enter the system. Rolled back to 12.0.0.6882.

Waiting for a fix.

Same here
